The news post in question is this one, and it offers quite a few great changes. When it comes to Gameplay Changes, the devs will add more Checkpoints to areas, and also allow fast-travel between them within an area. Also, they’ll make Passive Point respeccing cheaper, especially at higher levels.

Trial of the Sekhemas will receive several changes, many of which should improve the close range experience. As for the Endgame and Monster balance, the devs stated: “Generally the balance in Endgame Maps was more punishing than intended, so we’ve toned down the damage in a number of ways and disabled a certain on-death effect where the telegraphing was not as clear as it should have been”.

You can also expect some Character and Item balancing, including a new Lightning Damage and Electrocute Cluster to the passive tree in between the Ranger and Monk sections. Finally, there are a lot of balancing changes you should expect for Skill and Support Gem. Most notably, the addition of Tremors and Binding Support Gems.

The devs explained that they had to nerf some overpowered builds, for the sake of balance. They might have overdone it with some, so be on the lookout. Also, these are just partial patch notes, the full notes should drop soon. Meanwhile, you can read a more detailed list here.

Players Are Thrilled With All the Improvements

Well, as you may expected, the Path of Exile 2 players were pumped to learn all of these improvements and changes were coming to the game. They took to social media to share which changes they loved the most. One definitely stands out.

One player, brolyjiren, noted: “Repec costs less gold in Endgame”. Conaz9847 added: “Thank f**k, I love experimenting but any sizeable changes leave me broke and if I don’t like my change I need to grind with a s**t build to change it back. It would be good if the changes you clicked showed the stat changes before clicking confirm as well, so you can check interactions work as you intend before confirming”.

The majority of players praised GGG for their commitment to the player base. Yorunokage stated: “GGG delivering more and better changes 10 days into an already very damn good early access while most games can’t fix basic stuff in their broken 1.0 launches months after release”. Kanbaru-Fan concluded: “Another massive W overall”.

So, you can expect great things from Path of Exile 2. This patch should drop sometime before December 20, as that’s when the devs go on a holiday break. So, enjoy the game and hopefully, this patch will be as good as it sounds.
