It’s the holiday season! That means that many players are on a break from work, celebrating with their families and friends. However, if you celebrate a bit too much, that might have some consequences. So, some devoted and unfortunate Path of Exile 2 players decided to share an important PSA along with some of the worst mistakes they made when they had one drink too many. Now, this can happen anytime during the year, but it’s especially relevant during the holidays.
An Unfortunate Player Shares a PSA
With New Year’s Eve coming up, it’s important to reflect on past mistakes and try not to repeat them. Thankfully, when you are a part of a community, those mistakes don’t even have to be yours, you can learn from other players’ mistakes.
Path of Exile 2 community members issued a PSA and shared some cautionary tales about what could happen if you had some drinks and then decided to play the game. You know that nice feeling, you’ve spent some time with your loved ones, you ate and drank, you are relaxed but not tired yet. Then you decide to play your favorite game for a bit. Well, be cautious as you can truly mess up.
Hanednl shared: “Yesterday was my birthday. Family and friends were here. Drank a few cocktails. After they were gone I thought I could play some maps. I thought, okay, I drank a few cocktails, nothing wild, but don’t push t15+. So, I died 4 times in a row on +12 maps, lost 40% XP in like 15min. Don’t be like me, don’t drink and map”.
Path of Exile 2 Players Share Their Fails
The OP isn’t the first nor the last person who messed up because they were a tad more relaxed than usual. Path of Exile 2 players gladly stood by their fellow player and shared their dumbest mistakes, some of which are horrifying, but hilarious.
Several players admitted to making almost the same mistake as the OP. Remember_Apollo stated: “I know the feeling I did the same last week and I started on that same level for whole several days”.
However, some unlucky players made even bigger mistakes. Chellomac shared: “I accidentally deleted my lvl85 character while trying to log out. Had a ‘few’ drinks after Christmas”. Truly a terrifying mistake, but, according to pumaofshadow, there is some hope. This player stated: “Fyi they’ve kept deleted characters since 3.0 so I suspect they have in PoE2 as well. So it’s worth a support email just in case”.
It’s good to know that some mistakes are possibly reversible! Still, we’d recommend listening to this helpful community’s advice and maybe playing something that would have fewer consequences. Enjoy the holidays and have fun!
