From the start of your playthrough in My Time at Sandrock, you’ll need to begin gathering a wide variety of resources and materials to build new machines. This will help you get your workshop up and running. With access to the Assembly Station, you can review which materials you’ll need for each of your projects in the handbook. At times, specific resources will appear with notes, which indicate where you can find them. Many of these materials point to the Quarry. However, this location isn’t marked on your map, causing confusion among new players. Here’s where you can find this area early on.

Where to Find the Quarry in My Time at Sandrock
When you’re first starting out in My Time at Sandrock, your Assembly Station Handbook and several characters will mention the Quarry. A plethora of useful resources can be found in this area, which isn’t marked on your map of Sandrock. This can cause a lot of confusion if you’re not familiar with the town just yet. Fortunately, this location is accessible from the start of the game.
The Quarry is the area located just behind your workshop. Because it isn’t defined on the map, it’s tough to say exactly where it starts and ends. However, it generally encompasses the plot of land that stretches from Eufala Salvage to the opposite end of town. Just head out from your workshop to reach it.
The Quarry extends to a cliffside overrun with Rocket Roosters, so you should be careful traversing the landscape early on. That said, you’ll want to explore as much as you can to obtain a variety of resources. This is a great place to find stone scraps, copper scraps, and deadwood, for example.
When you salvage these scrap piles, you’ll often find other useful materials as well. Each can also be processed into more valuable resources, which can then be used to build new items. You’ll need to get your hands on Quartz and Copper in the early stages of the game, so it’s a good idea to collect scrap materials from the Quarry when you can.
