How exciting! As you know, the latest patch and the Street Fighter 6 collab are now live. Of course, the devs issued hefty patch notes, but they also used the opportunity to address the upcoming Title Update 2. Yuya Tokuda, the Director of Monster Hunter Wilds, wrote a letter that revealed some details about the Title Update 2, but mere hours later, the devs made another exciting announcement, this time regarding the upcoming changes to weapon usage statistics.
The Devs Announced Changes to Weapon Usage Statistics
On May 28, the devs made an announcement on the official Monster Hunter page on X. The changes that the devs announced will certainly excite all the MHW perfectionists out there.
The devs noted: “Hunters, we’ve got an update for you about weapon usage stats on hunter profiles! The following changes will be made to the weapon usage statistics of the Quests Completed page on hunter profiles in Title Update 2. The default view will be changed to not reflect weapon usage for Arena Quests, Challenge Quests, or Free Challenge Quests. The ability to reset the weapon usage statistics will be added. We hope these changes make the game more satisfying for those who wish to maintain a carefully crafted hunter profile”.
Some Monster Hunter Wilds Players Love Balancing the Statistics
These changes to weapon usage statistics in Monster Hunter Wilds probably don’t sound too important. However, we know more than a few players who take great pride in their hunter profiles. Naturally, quite a few players shared their opinions about these changes on social media.
Triple Combo Gaming noted: “As someone who’s trying to get every weapon at equal usage, the resetting option is welcome”. Another player, humbleace, stated: “Top tier work from people who care, now let’s talk about that cowboy hat”.
Truth be told, changes like these show that the developers truly care about the players’ experience, and that’s always a good sign. Everything we’ve heard about Title Update 2 sounds amazing, so we’re eager to see what the devs are working on. In the meantime, don’t forget about the current Event Quests, and, of course, happy hunting.
