Perfect choice for the first weekly Costumes in Season 2! After months of waiting, Peni players will finally get a new skin, and so will the Strange mains. Truth be told, they both look amazing. So, when are the Peni Parker and Doctor Strange Costumes dropping in Marvel Rivals?
New Peni Parker and Doctor Strange Costumes Arrive on April 18
On April 14, the Community Manager, James, took to Discord and shared the exciting news. The CM announced that this week, two new Costumes would be added to the Store.
James noted: “Two worlds collide in a clash of myth and madness! Harness chaos with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and join the tsuchigumo spirits with Peni Parker’s mystical Yatsukahagi! The mountain awakens – and the multiverse breaks. Available: Friday 18 April 2025 at 04:00. Are you ready to face the Hyakki Yagyō?”.
Of course, as always, this dev attached an image that gave players a sneak peek at these two Costumes. We could barely recognize Peni in the Yatsukahagi Costume, and Doctor Strange looks like he came from our worst nightmares, in the best way possible.
Marvel Rivals Players Are in Awe of the New Costumes
Marvel Rivals players had a lot to say about the upcoming Doctor Strange and Peni Parker Costumes. Generally speaking, the players loved the designs, but they also had some strong opinions about the timing and the themes.
One player, 2D enthusiast, noted: “Y’all are doing an Amazing job, but man, can we get some non-magic and supernatural events and themes? You’d think Marvel was a High Dark Fantasy brand if you went by this game alone”.
Several players complained that the new skin for Doctor Strange arrived just as he was nerfed, which they found unfair. However, Peni mains were ecstatic that they would finally get a skin that wasn’t a re-color.
Honestly, we understand some of these complaints, but we’re head over heels for these designs! They arrive on April 18, so get ready! In the meantime, enjoy the Hellfire Gala, we hear the new Season also runs well on the Steam Deck. See you out there.
