It was leaked before, but due to recent findings, it looks like the rumors of a certain classic X-Men character joining Marvel Rivals are seemingly confirmed.
The latest season is all about Mutants, and talk of which ones will also be joining us is all over the community. While far from a Mutant, we all know that Ultron is the next hero joining the roster, but leaks point towards a plethora of Mutants waiting their turn to join the Marvel Rivals Hero roster.
Back in January, a notable leaker claimed that five new X-Men are on the way, and those are Gambit, Rogue, Jubilee, Nightcrawler, and Beast. Now, recent findings point towards one of them being the next in line, or at least, on the way.
Rumors and Recent Findings Seemingly Confirm that Jubilee, a Beloved Character from the Classic X-Men Era, Is Coming to Marvel Rivals
Noticed by Miller Ross, a popular content creator, there is a mention of Jubilee in Marvel Rivals. More specifically, in the “Night of the Year” Gallery Card, the one that you unlock at the end of the Hellfire Gala Moments seasonal event. The card says:
“…I got distracted by the fact that one of the rooms had an actual dragon in it! It looked terribly sad, but when I tried to approach it, Ms. Frost whisked me out of the room. I pushed for more info, but all she would tell me was that his name was Shogo and that he missed his mother, who was lost to the Timestream Entanglement. Poor baby!”
To clarify, Shogo is a baby that can take the form of a Dragon, and was adopted by Jubilee in X-Men Vol 4 #1, from 2013. Hence, the “missed his mother” part makes more sense. Moving on, Timestream Entanglement is a cataclysmic event by Dr. Doom and his 2099 counterpart, which linked different timelines and locations together, ie, is responsible for the existence of Marvel Rivals and explains how all these characters got together.
As for Jubilee, it was already mentioned by XOXLEAK that she is “in the works”, with her abilities supposedly being named “Fireworks”, “Atomic Bomb”, and “Atomic Bomb-Excitation”.
We doubt that NetEase will just mention characters willy-nilly, so while far from an official confirmation, it is not unreasonable to speculate that Jubilee will be here sooner rather than later. On the other hand, we are still waiting for Blade…but the devs did say they will release new characters more frequently, starting in Season 3, scheduled for July 2025. We will find out soon enough.
