The preseason, or Season 0, is nearing its end, and the official first Season is almost here. While still a couple of days away, we have gathered some rumors about Marvel Rivals Season 1.
Marvel Rivals is barely a month old and still in its Preseason. Seasons have become a staple of online games, and NetEase’s hero-based shooter is about to get its first one. Seasons in Marvel Rivals offers skins and other cosmetics, as they usually do, and set the general tone of the game. So, with all that in mind, let’s see all the rumors, leaks, and speculations for Season 1 of Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals Season 1 Rumors
According to various sources, the first Season of Marvel Rivals will be titled Eternal Night. It will go live on January 10, as soon as the Chronovim Season ends.
Everything points towards Dracula being the antagonist of this season. A new map is almost confirmed, New York, and we expect it to have a slightly darker tone than the rest, to reflect the eerie and gothic atmosphere that you can expect from a Season titled Eternal Night. Furthermore, this may also lead to more narrative-driven missions or special objectives.
This also leads to a lot of fans expecting to see Blade added to the game, somewhere in the mid-season. He is a natural choice to go toe-to-toe against Dracula.
What is confirmed is that The Fantastic Four will headline the new season, and will add all four characters to the game: Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing. Two of them will join Marvel Rivals on the launch of Season 1, and two will be added somewhere in mid-season. Rumors point towards Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman being the first two, and Human Torch and The Thing being the second duo.
As for buffs, nerf, and adjustments, we will see some changes for Hela, Hawkeye, Storm, Wolverine, and Cloak & Dagger. Everyone expects that Hela and Hawkeye will get nerfs, while Storm, Wolverine, and Cloak & Dagger will get buffs or at least some tweaks. Furthermore, Captain America and Wolverine will get some movement improvements.
Leaked Dates
We expect to see daily updates until Season 1 begins, and a respectable leaker, RivalsLeaks, shared some “leaked dates for upcoming skins, maps, buffs, and nerfs”.

They proceed to say “saw a tiktok talk about this and had a friend send it to me so it looks real”. However, there is an inconsistency already, as the official time and date for the Fantastic Four trailer video is January 6, 8am PST. On the other hand, we may actually get two trailers: one for the Season in general, and one for The Fantastic Four.
Season 1 is just in a couple of days, and Marvel Rivals fans are in for a treat.
