It can’t be that hard playing Support, or can it? Almost every Strategist will tell you that their role in Marvel Rivals is probably the most demanding one. However, Heroes from the other two classes often diminish Strategists’ contributions, and more often than not, blame them for the team’s demise. But, what happens when a Vanguard or a Duelist takes a walk in Strategist’s shoes?
Strategist Players Finally Get Some Much-Deserved Praise
One devoted player, West-Start4069, confessed to only playing Vanguard and Duelist. As luck would have it, their team urgently needed a Strategist, so, this player made the hard decision and switched. Spoiler alert: this player has some newfound appreciation for all the Support players out there.
The OP noted: “And HOLY S**T some of you really need pocket healing 24/7. Hela player on the front line without our tanks, Squirrel Girl going 4/10/0, Hulk jumping out there and landing in the middle of the whole enemy team just to be DEMOLISHED in less than 20 seconds… It was infuriating trying to keep everyone alive”.
This player went on to explain that they usually main Spiderman, but they try not to bother Support players on their team. They added: “But now I understand how hard it is to be a support, babysitting the whole team when they are just holding W and use absolutely ZERO cover when they are getting hit. Shout-out to those good support players who carry the team the whole game”.
Marvel Rivals Duelists and Vanguards Appreciate the Support
As you know, the best way to progress in Marvel Rivals is to learn how to play all the roles, including Strategist. So, many players who don’t usually main Support have tried at some point to master one Strategist. In most cases, it didn’t go so well.
JP-StarkT stated: “I am main Strange. I decided to try support to see how it was and have a better understanding of the game in general, I forced myself to play one support in specific until reaching Lord with them. So, I did with Luna. I literally just reached her Lord Icon and I can tell you, man. I ain’t touching support in 2 months at least, lmao. It was the most oppressive time of my life. I think I’m fine with my Lord Strange for now”.
So, if the Support on your team somehow let you down, remember that they have a lot on their plate. Truth be told, we truly appreciate how the Marvel Rivals community grows and keeps addressing important issues, thus making the game better for everyone. Enjoy the game and don’t forget to thank your Strategist for all the effort they put in keeping you alive.
