We’ve all been there, right? For some reason unbeknownst to us, some players enjoy bullying others. Usually, it’s the poor Strategists who suffer the most, but realistically, any player can fall victim to bullies. Well, that might come to an end soon! Some Marvel Rivals players have accidentally discovered how to efficiently take care of toxic community members.
The Hilarious Anecdote Amused the Marvel Rivals Community
Recently, a player shared their strange experience with the community. SamantaSam noted that their parents (60 and 61 years old) enjoyed playing Marvel Rivals occasionally.
So, one day, they all decided to spend some quality time together and play some matches. The dad picked Thor, while the mom chose Squirrel Girl. The OP emphasized that this wasn’t the first time their parents played the game. Then, something unsavory happened.
The OP recalled: “My mom got flamed in vs AI. In the second round, one player starts blaming my mom for how can you be so bad at the easiest hero in the game xd”. The OP’s solution? Quite simple, yet extremely effective!
They stated: “I simply went ‘It’s because it’s my mom and she is 60, that’s why’, and they went radio silent and never wrote anything else after that, and we won with no problem”. The OP reminded the players that, most of the time, they didn’t know who the person behind a Hero was, and that everybody deserved to be treated nicely.
How to Deal With Toxic Players?
Obviously, the Marvel Rivals community found this incident with the toxic player hilarious. Community members joked they would die of embarrassment if they accidentally flamed someone’s om. However, some noted that this could also be a great way to deal with bullies.
We’ve all had days when we’re grumpy and want to blame others, it’s the path of least resistance. That’s only human. But one shouldn’t act on those feelings. So, don’t be shy to call those players out for their behavior.
Sometimes players get so engrossed in the game that they forget that they are playing with real people. After all, we’re all playing to have fun, not to be someone’s punching bag when they are in a bad mood. Call them out on it, politely. There is no need to raise tensions in a game that should be relaxing
Entire_Shoulder_4397 stated: “There are zero scenarios where it’s ever justifiable to ever type at your team in a negative way (unless there is bullying going on and you need to push back). It legit makes zero sense to do. It’s just pixels, why let yourself get worked up to the point you need to insult someone about it”.
So, the OP’s mom’s sacrifice could have been exactly what this community needed! Hopefully, this will stick, and the players will be nicer to each other. And the DPS players will switch when needed (okay, now we’re daydreaming!). Remember to enjoy the game and let others enjoy it. We’ll see you out there.
