A new mode is in the works! Clone Rumble is coming to Marvel Rivals, and the teaser trailer just dropped. Judging by the trailer, players will have a lot of fun. Get ready for some chaos as you try to coordinate with your teammates. Clone Rumble arrives on March 7.
The Announcement of Clone Rumble Just Dropped
The developers announced the new mode on March 4 on the official Discord channel. They noted: “Rivals, get ready for Clone Rumble – where strategy, teamwork, and controlled chaos take center stage! In this all-new mode, both teams will select one hero each, and every player must choose between these two heroes for the ultimate mirror showdown. Will you master your pick and outplay your clones?”.
In this mode, each team gets to choose just one Hero, and the players must choose between them. Coordination and teamwork will be of the utmost importance. Since identical abilities will clash, the new mode will encourage players to come up with new strategies. As we already mentioned, this event starts on March 7, 2025.
Alongside these details, which could sound a bit confusing, the devs posted the trailer that showed how fun this mode would actually be. What we truly loved about it was that the devs just had fun with the mode, or rather played like regular players would. There were no scripted battles, but silly details, like a bunch of Groots building a house together. Also, the trailer revealed that those who finish the Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure event would get to claim a free new Costume for the Black Widow.
The Trailer Raises Hype in the Marvel Rivals Community
It comes as no surprise that the Marvel Rivals players loved the trailer for Clone Rumble. It showed off numerous possibilities and raised the excitement in the community. Players raved about everything they were looking forward to in the new mode.
VVheeli noted: “Starting off with 12 Fantastics big-walking was ABSOLUTELY the correct move”. Another player, BlenderGeek, added: “Alright, whoever directed this trailer REALLY understands what makes this sort of game mode fun”.
A Redditor, Piano_Troll17, pointed out another great thing that will come out of this mode. They noted: “It’ll force me to practice on characters I’m not as familiar with. And there’s a decent chance I’ll be paired with people who do actually know the characters (so I have some good examples to follow), and other people who have no idea what they’re doing so I won’t be alone”.
Truth be told, we haven’t seen the Marvel Rivals community this excited in a while. The devs just keep delivering, it seems that all of their recent decisions were wins. In the meantime, good luck facing The Thing, enjoy, and see you out there.
