The Parade Master is the first boss fight that you will have to win in Lies of P, and it is not exactly a walk in the park. Despite the puppet’s huge size, it is unbelievably agile and capable of delivering large amounts of damage if you are unfortunate enough to get hit. So, without further ado, let’s find out what you need to do in order to defeat the Parade Master in Lies of P.
How To Defeat Parade Master in Lies of P
To defeat the Parade Master in Lies of P, you need to be highly proficient in performing perfect guards and timely dodges. The boss fight presents a lot of windows to strike the Parade Master, so you also need to be very judicious regarding when to strike.
Learning the Parade Master’s movement pattern can be a difficult task, especially if you don’t have any experience playing soulslike games like Bloodborne and Dark Souls. Fortunately, there are many methods to help you defeat the Parade Master while taking minimal damage.
How to Beat Parade Master Phase 1
In the first phase, the Parade Master performs several types of attacks: a sweep attack using its hands, a charge attack, a belly flop, and an unblockable fury attack. The moves will be relatively slower and easier to read in this phase of the fight. So, the best way to deal with all these attacks is to block them at the perfect time.
By pressing the guard button, LB on Xbox, L1 on Playstation and Left Shift Key on PC, right before the boss lands its blow, you can prevent from taking too much damage, and if you follow it up with a counter-attack, you can recover the damage thanks to the Guard Regain provided by the Greatsword.
Be careful to dodge out of the way of the boss’s belly flop attack as it can do serious damage. That said, if the Parade Master performs a belly flop, that is your cue to get 2-3 solid hits in as it is the most vulnerable at this stage, and we would advise you to keep performing Perfect Guards and dodges until it slams belly-first on the ground.

How to Beat Parade Master Phase 2
After the puppet boss reaches 60% health, it will pull out its own head using a rod to use it as a weapon, initiating Phase 2. At this point, relying heavily on Perfect Guards becomes very risky, so we advise using dodges more often.
Luckily, there is one chink in the Parade Master’s moveset that we mean to fully exploit. When the boss raises its weapon and leaps towards you to land a blow, dodge the sweep and try to get behind it. Once the puppet realizes this, it will perform a backhand sweep, which you can block. At this moment, you will have a small window to land a charged attack before it turns around to counter-attack. If you successfully land enough of these charged attacks, you’ll easily be able to finish the boss off.
