Where To Find Free Mercs in Jagged Alliance 3
There are a couple mercs that can be obtained for free, but will require players to complete a series of missions in order to get them. Here is every free merc in Jagged Alliance 3 and how to get them.
Flay
Speak to the poacher camp leader, “Hyena” Gilbert, in region C4 after clearing it out of enemies. You will then need to find three poacher corpses impaled by antlers.
One can be found in the C6 sector, while the other two are in B4 sector. Flay will appear after finding the final corpse, though will require a character with 90 Wisdom points to convince him to join the team.
Larry
Players will first need the Metaviron item before attempting. Clear out Camp Savane in the F7 sector to find Larry.
Larry will then join your team after passing a medical skill check and giving him the Metaviron. Players can further boost his stats after by taking him to the Sanatorium in the H12 sector and starting an operation.
Smiley
The Smiley questline can be started by talking to Maman Liliane in Pantagruel Slums. Then players will have to talk to the priest in Fleatown La Bou to continue. Defeat all the enemies to rescue him, but he will ask for help to kill Boss Blaubert and rescue his love interest, Mollie. Protecting Smiley and defeating Boss Blaubert at his mansion will allow him to then join your team.
