In real life, you wouldn’t dress the same for going to school, a hike, or a gala, right? Well, why would you do so in a game that features some of the most amazing clothing pieces we’ve seen in a while? The truth is, the majority of players wouldn’t. Most of the Infinity Nikki players love expressing themselves through fashion and having a different outfit for different occasions is just one of the ways they do it.
Different Occasions Require Different Styling
In the first week since this game was launched, it achieved quite a lot. Infinity Nikki was downloaded more than 10 million times, and many players deemed it their favorite game. Thus, an online community started forming, and so far, we have nothing but words of praise for the wonderful community members.
Unlike so many gaming communities, this one isn’t afraid to talk about important topics, such as misogyny in the gaming industry. At the same time, this community manages to stay warm, helpful, and playful. It’s obvious that the players truly enjoy the freedom that Infinity Nikki offers.
Well, one important aspect of freedom is self-expression. The majority of us learn to use style to showcase our personality in every situation. However, different occasions require different approaches, so choosing a perfect outfit is extremely satisfying, in both real life and in Infinity Nikki.
One player, friendlycryptid, wondered: “Does anyone else use separate outfits for different regions/places?”. This player posted two lovely outfits that were very well-coordinated with the surroundings.
The outfit on the left has cooler tones, so, according to the OP, it’s “for exploring in more moody places like Memorial Mountains or the Dream Warehouse”. On the other hand, the outfit on the right seems breezy and light, perfect for Stoneville or the Abandoned District. The OP noted: “I feel like I can get into the story more that way”.
Infinity Nikki Players Wish for More Outfit Slots
Well, the lovely Infinity Nikki community didn’t disappoint. Players gladly shared what inspired their fashion choices. For some, it was all about the landscape, others were led by their mood, but everyone had fun creating the custom outfits. However, many players pointed out one of the rare problems with the game – the number of slots for outfits.
TecoTek noted: “I change them all the time. 4 custom slots are by far not enough”. Another player, StarryAry added: “I firmly agree. I believe 6 or 10 would be much more appropriate. My 4th slot gets swapped around constantly”.
Now, this is a request we can stand behind! It’s tough choosing which outfit has to go, but it’s impossible not to change them up. Some players choose to appoint slots to different styles/occasions. For example, one slot is for an everyday outfit, one is outdoorsy, one is nighttime, etc.
Kuchinawa_san noted: “I also try to have a “daily outfit slot” meaning that every day when I log in, I have to make a new outfit there. Cause I know my Nikki is all about fashion and yesterday’s fashion is too old for her. The other 3 slots are for nighttime, where she is at, and a simple outfit”.
Which categories do you sort your outfits in? Or do you have another system? Truth be told, we are always on the lookout for a cool approach. In the meantime, we’ll be scrapping the outfit we like the least. As for you, enjoy the game and this wonderful growing community.
