Is Collecting Insight a Waste of Time? Some Infinity Nikki Players Aren’t Fans of This Gacha Mechanic

Since the moment it dropped, Infinity Nikki has become a fan-favorite. Players love how wonderful Nikki is, her relationship with Momo, and all the adventures you can go on. However, this is a gacha game, and that means that there were some gacha mechanics. The latest update delighted the players and changed some of them, but quite a few still persist. One of them, the Insight mechanic, has lately been quite a hot topic in the Infinity Nikki community.

Collecting Insight Manually Doesn’t Pay Out

Obviously, the majority of players enjoy the aesthetics, and, at least at first, no one truly minded collecting Insight manually. Wandering around the map and enjoying the lovely details was enough on its own. However, as time passes, players would love for this collection process to be a tad more effective.

One annoyed player, Im_Slap, explained that they felt as if their time wasn’t respected by this mechanic. The OP has had a lot of experience with gacha games, so they were kind of used to it, but their girlfriend is still new to this type of game, and she was flabbergasted.

The OP noted: “Collection as a whole in Infinity Nikki feels like a waste of time. Yes, you need those resources at some level to craft outfits and pieces, but the Insight gained while engaging with all of it is capped LONG before you even finish a run for a material or two”. So, the cap is quite a problem according to this player.

They continued: “The most efficient Insight-earning method is to spend energy on trades with the Fufus. That’s it. Why bother spending any amount of time collecting, grooming, fishing, or bug catching towards a cap of 100 when you can spend 20 energy for 200 in less than a minute”.

This player did the math and came up with a whopping 180 days needed to reach 18k Insight for the new Miracle outfit, with a daily 100 Insight cap. Still, this player didn’t ask for the daily cap to be completely removed, just higher.

Infinity Nikki Players Would Love to See This Gacha Mechanic Gone

Many Infinity Nikki players agreed that the entire Insight mechanic, including the cap, needed to be redone. Even though this type of mechanic is usual in gacha games, players wished more for their favorite game. However, not many players were optimistic about getting the devs to change it.

Sirensongspacebaby stated: “The collection, crafting, and glow-up systems are absolutely not respectful of the time and heinously stingy in some cases ( 1-3 glow-up bubbles for recycled items). But it’s pretty obvious why, which makes me feel like it’ll be hard to get them to budge”.

Another closely related issue is that the resources respawn every 24 hours, not daily. Now, this might be something that the devs could change. PrincessReyyy noted: “I feel like it would be so much easier for the game itself to reset everything at the same time as the server resets on a certain time no matter where you play”.

Given that the devs actually listened and implemented some of the players’ ideas in the last update, we’d suggest you speak up. If there are enough players asking for one specific change, the devs will most likely approve the request. So, when you are filling out the surveys, politely ask them to remove this mechanic. Hopefully, they will. In the meantime, try not to get too annoyed, as gacha veterans, we can promise you’ll get used to this system in time.
