How to Use Force Powers in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

cal with a mysterious man holding a helmut in star wars jedi survivor

One of the most exciting and crucial aspects of the latest Star Wars installment, Jedi: Survivor, is developing and using Force powers. Granting you a variety of abilities, these powers are exceptionally useful in combat. Although, they will also serve you well in solving environmental puzzles and exploring new planets throughout the game.

Bound by a meter, Force powers must be used sparingly until you’re able to extend the use of your abilities with Force Essence. You’ll be able to find this resource beyond green barriers, but they can only be passed with Merrin’s Charm.

Because of this, you’ll need to know how to make the most of Cal’s Force powers, including how to get and use all six. Luckily, we’ve compiled this information to help you use Force powers in Jedi: Survivor.

How To Use Force Push

The first Force power you’ll develop is Force Push, unlocked on the planet Coruscant. Reminiscent of standard Force abilities we’ve seen in Star Wars films, this power will allow you to push enemies and environmental blockages like walls with a telekinetic force. Use Force Push with the following commands:

  • R2 on PS5
  • RT on Xbox Series X|S

How To Use Force Pull

Developed on Coruscant alongside its counterpart, Force Push, the opposite Force Pull ability enables you to pull nearby enemies toward you. This gives you a critical opening to follow up with lightsaber attacks and take out the enemy. It can also be used in your environment, much like its counterpart. Use Force Pull with:

  • L2 on PS5
  • LT on Xbox Series X|S

How To Use Slow Time

You’ll develop the Slow Time ability in the Undercity of Coruscant. This Force power does exactly as it implies; with Slow Time, you’ll be able to slow the flow of time. By doing so, enemies will be slowed as well, allowing you to land attacks quickly. Use Slow Time with these commands:

  • L3+R3 on PS5
  • LS+RS on Xbox Series X|S

How To Use Confuse

Also unlocked in the Undercity of Coruscant, the Confuse ability will, in fact, allow you to confuse your enemies. This Force power will turn the targeted enemy against their allies for a short period of time, helping you to double down and take out an opposing group. To use Confuse, press:

  • R1+◯ on PS5
  • RB+B on Xbox Series X|S

How To Use Lift and Slam

Developed later on during your second visit to Koboh, Lift and Slam will allow you to literally lift enemies up and slam them into the ground with a forceful blow. This Force power is dual-activated with:

  • R1+△ (Lift) and R1+X (Slam) on PS5
  • RB+Y (Lift) and RB+A (Slam) on Xbox Series X|S

How To Use Mind Trick

You’ll develop Mind Trick very early on Coruscant, but it’s only applied in dialogue. Essentially, this Force power allows you to control the minds of enemies to gain information or control their behavior. Use Mind Trick with:

  • R1 on PS5
  • RB on Xbox Series X|S

Throughout Jedi: Survivor, you’ll have ample opportunities to extend the meter for these Force powers by using Force Essence and upgrade them with skill points at Meditation points. Doing so will lead you to your fate as the Jedi Survivor.
