Among us frequently releases brand-new skins, cosmetics, and maps to keep the player base on their toes. Fresh updates and new looks keep the game exciting and fun, but you’ve probably noticed that many shop releases have a mysterious currency on their price tag.
There are three currencies in Among Us: Beans, Pods, and Stars.
Fortunately, the first two currencies are pretty common since you can acquire them as you play the game, but Stars have a different mode of obtaining them altogether since they’re the premium currency in Among Us. Among Us – How To Get Stars
Currently, the only way to get Stars in Among Us is through in-app purchases. As frustrating as it is to have all the cool items and maps stuck behind a paywall, don’t worry. Stars are pretty cheap, and you can get all the important items without being too heavy on your wallet. Here’s what you need to do:
- Open Among US and press the $ icon on the Main Menu.
- Next, press the yellow bar at the top-right of the screen.
- Finally, choose and purchase the Star Bundle of your choice.

How To Purchase Stars In Among Us
Purchasing Stars is pretty straightforward in Among Us. Follow the steps below to grab your first bundle of the game’s premium currency:
- Open Among Us and head over to the Main Menu.
- Click on the Shop tab.
- Select the Star tab.
From here, you can browse through the different Star bundles and pick the one that fits your requirements.
For reference, you can check out this chart to see how many Stars you’ll get for each bundle:

As you can see, the bigger bundles give you a better rate per star. The $1.99 gets you one star for every 10 cents, while the largest bundle ($300) gives you a star for around every 8 cents you spend.

What Can You Do With Stars in Among Us?
The most useful utility of Stars is probably unlocking the maps in Among Us. Each Map has its respective bundle, and you can buy the bundles for Airship, Mira, and Polus for 20 Stars each. You’ll also get some cool cosmetics as part of the bundles!
If you’re not as interested in skins, hats, and pets and would rather just amplify your gameplay experience, the $9.99 bundle is the way to go. With that, you can purchase all the different map bundles while having a fair bit of Stars left in the bank in case the game sees some cool new releases.
