How Long is Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
We can’t be sure exactly how long it’s going to take to beat Tears of the Kingdom until the game launches this Friday, May 12. However, we can make an informed guess that it will take upwards of 50 hours to beat the campaign, based on the length of its predecessor, Breath of the Wild.
According to polls, it took players roughly 50 hours to beat Breath of the Wild when focusing on the main story alone. With the addition of side quests and additional objectives, however, this number jumped to nearly 200 hours for 100% completion. What’s more, the most dedicated players are still logging more hours after completing the game in full and starting over.
More N4G Unlocked: Does Tears of the Kingdom use the Same Map as Breath of the Wild?
With that being said, we’re expecting to see much more offered in Tears of the Kingdom with the addition of new locations like Sky Islands, as well as new enemies and quests. Considering the sequel will more or less continue the story that began in Breath of the Wild, we can assume it will take just as long, if not longer to complete Tears of the Kingdom.
Of course, we can’t say with absolute certainty that Tears of the Kingdom will surpass its predecessor in length, but it definitely seems that this will be the case. Regardless, we’ll see much more of Link and his newfound abilities on his quest to save the kingdom this Friday.
