While playing Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll come across the Animal Puzzle, which could single-handedly be the most difficult part of the game if you don’t know how to solve it. Many people try to unlock it through trial and error, but that’s a huge waste of your time. Solving these Arithmancy Doors can be quite difficult, but fortunately for you, we have a guide on how to solve these puzzles.
How To Solve The Animal Puzzle Doors in Hogwarts Legacy
In order to solve the Animal puzzle doors, you have to equate the number in the center of the triangle to the numbers on the outside of the triangle. There will be one number on the outside that will be missing, so you’ll have to use your math skills to find out that number. The animals on the door from left to right are numbered from 0 to 9. So if a certain edge of a triangle has an animal, count from left to right to see which number it falls on
Our tip for this mathematical problem would be to take a sheet of paper and list each corner of the triangle as A, B, and C. Then input the values in these letters, with the unknown number left as a letter. Equate this to the number in the center and find the value of the unknown number.

Once you’ve calculated the number, search for a button with “??” symbol, and click on it until you get an animal emblem that coincides with your value. You’ll then have to repeat this process to complete the second puzzle on the door. Once you figure you the answer to the second puzzle, search for another “??” button and click on it until you get the animal emblem that matches your value. After you are done, simply interact with the door for it to open.
An important thing to note, however, is that all the “??” buttons may not always be nearby. You might have to scour nearby walls, go to another floor or climb up and down some stairs to find the buttons and interact with them to finally open the Animal Puzzle Door.
