Does Hogwarts Legacy Support Cross-platform or Cross Progression?
Unfortunately, Hogwarts Legacy doesn’t support cross-progression or cross-platform gaming. This may be disappointing for those of you who were hoping to cast some fun spells on their friends. Sadly, however, you’ll have to find other, less destructive uses for these spells.
Hogwarts Legacy provides a single-player experience for its users. It is a game where characters can forge their journey and grow into a life of their own. Since it is a single-player video game, it’s understandable that the game doesn’t allow online or co-op gaming.

How To Make Friends in Hogwarts Legacy
Although Hogwarts Legacy does not support cross-platform or co-op, it does allow characters to form new friendships with other witches and wizards. As the relationships grow, you will learn more about their stories. Some of these friends will even accompany you on your journey filled with action and mysterious creatures. Unfortunately, though, that’s the most co-op you’ll be able to squeeze out of the game.
Will Hogwarts Legacy Become Cross-Platform in the Future?
For now, the developers have no intention of bringing the cross-platform feature to Hogwarts Legacy. Avalanche Software has made this pretty clear as the essence of the entire game hangs on it being a single-player game. And as you know, single-player games cannot be cross-platform.
Another aspect of not bringing in the cross-platform feature is that, while some parts of Hogwarts Legacy may seem more interesting if your friends joined in, most parts are designed to be played solo. If people from varying levels were allowed to join in, it would break the tempo of the game and offset various factors that give the game its essence.
So, fortunately, or unfortunately, cross-platform gaming will not be coming to Hogwarts Legacy anytime soon.
