They are back in the spotlight! You may remember the Chaosdivers as rebels who stood by their demands. Or, maybe, as traitors who sabotaged their teammates and then tried to take credit for positive changes in the game. However, this group of players has laid low for a while, partaking in their Chaos Orders and overall avoiding the players who still fought for Super Earth, also known as “loyalists”. But, that might change soon. As you might know, a Helldivers 2 community-led event, Operation Vanguard Horizon, is in progress, and Chaosdivers are pondering the possibilities of joining or sabotaging it.
Should Helldivers 2 Players Worry About Chaosdivers?
Now, we’re all for fair play, extremely against team killing, or any kind of strategy that would hurt our fellow players. And, sure, none of that officially aligns with the Chaosdivers’ agenda, however, there were instances of players complaining of Chaosdivers TK-ing. As horrifying as that is, we must commend the Chaosdivers’ determination and dedication to roleplaying. You’ll often see posts where they first list their rank, before giving their opinion.
As for Operation Vanguard Horizon, Chaosdivers couldn’t find common ground on what to do. You might stumble upon an extremist, but that’s easily solved by kicking them. The more conservative current of Chaodivers is strictly against helping the “loyalist”. One of those players, Arkhaminmate13, explained why Chaosdivers shouldn’t participate at all.
They noted: “This is General Tyranis of Deathwatch. Supplying order to the confusion over Helldiver orders. Continued support of Operation Craterfarm is required, and all Deathwatch personnel are ordered to ignore Operation Horizon. Slowing construction of the Democracy Station is a huge priority, and we are to follow NONE of the Helldivers’ orders unless instructed otherwise”.
Some Chaosdivers Will Join Operation Vanguard Horizon
However, surprisingly enough, the majority of Chaosdivers were all for joining the event. Their beef with the High Command doesn’t mean they are against helping out their fellow players. After all, Chaosdivers are a community-led faction, it only makes sense they’d support an event like Operation Vanguard Horizon, even though Helldivers 2 “loyalists” came up with it.
One player, NinjaDemon05, stated: “We have one of two options, openly. Either evade them, stick to the shadows as has been mentioned…Or, blend in… Infiltrate the event, assist the Loyalist ranks, & keep keen on what trickery the Ministries have going on”.
This player added: “Personally, I’d make it known we are still around, & still offering the same support that we always have. I still announce that I’m with Chaos by simply typing “Chaos deploying…” during the initial drops”.
They also reminded the community: “Just a solid reminder for mainly the newer members of ChaosDivers: We do NOT attack our own. Chaos & Loyalist forces are still human forces. Evade where possible, kill only where necessary”.
We’d say that this stance is the essence of Chaosdivers, rather than the anti-Helldivers propaganda you might have stumbled upon. Another player, BrownFoxx98, added: “I’ll partake. Remember. Our brothers and sisters in humanity need us. The first step to freedom is choice. To choose freedom”.
Maybe the Chaosdivers aren’t as terrible as you might have thought? After all, they were Helldivers once, they know what you are going through. So, if a Chaosdiver joins your game, give them a chance, they might be one of the good guys. Take your P-113 Verdict and let’s spread some Managed Democracy just in time for Liberty Day. For Liberty and Super Earth.
