Many Helldivers agree that fighting on Meridia right before it was blown up was one of the best missions so far. As you probably know, all that was left was a black hole. But, once Meridia was destroyed, some players suggested that the same could happen to other planets. Well, recent leaks revealed a model of a destroyed planet, causing the Helldivers 2 players to try and predict what might happen.
Leaks Offer a Peek at a Model of a Destroyed Planet
One very prolific leaker, IronS1ghts is known in the community for their findings. Once again, they didn’t disappoint their followers. This leaker reportedly found what looks like a model of an exploding planet in the game files. The OP noted: “(Leak) Destroyed Planet War Table Model”. Of course, they also attached an image of what they had discovered.
Now, as you probably know, the Democracy Space Station has finally become operational. Even though the first reviews are less-than-glowing, this is exactly the kind of damage that the players expect the DSS will be able to make.
One player, Tank, noted: “DSS HAS to be the cause of that, it’s literally got a giant cannon on the bottom of it”. Juman Jerson added: “There’s a leaked news video about it being used to destroy a small moon”.
Helldivers Know Which Planet They’d Destroy First
Now, at the time of writing this article, the players aren’t satisfied with the DSS, at all. However, these leaks of a destroyed planet model might give the Helldivers 2 community some hope for the future. Players gladly shared which planet they’d blow up first, if given the choice.
As you may have guessed, the most obvious choices were planets that had fire-tornados. Yup, if players could, they’d blow up Hellmire right away, no matter the cost. Little Leo said: “Only one sextillion Requisition Slips to get rid of those f**king fire tornados is a small cost”.
For those players who love fighting on Hellmire and similar planets (especially since getting fire-resistant armor), don’t worry, there is another possible suspect for making this kind of damage. The Illuminate. Ruaumoko suggested: “Will happen when The Illuminate start harvesting planets for Dark Fluid. They’re either harvesting it to use on Super Earth or… they’re coming back to fix the sub-space tear we created. If they have to destroy planets to do it, so be it. Beats the entire universe collapsing”.
Obviously, we can’t say when and if this model will appear in the game, nor who would ever do something like this, so take this leak, as all others, with a grain of salt. While we wait to see if it’ll come to fruition, let’s get to Mastia, the Major Order is in progress. For Liberty and Super Earth.
