Some people just can’t catch a break! The beloved Service Technician, who has previously lost her voice for a couple of months due to being in mourning, is gone. All that is left is a gap in where she stood. Reportedly, she’s gone to a professional development training, but Helldivers have a hard time believing that. So, the Helldivers 2 community has come up with some theories about where their favorite Service Technician has disappeared to.
What Happened to the Service Technician?
So, if you went by to chat with the Service Technician about the latest developments (the possible invasion of Super Earth), you were probably shocked to see she wasn’t there. If you asked the Ship Master about it, they probably told you the Service Technician was off to a professional development training. One player, Financial-Customer24, caught it on video:
However, the community doesn’t necessarily believe this. Naturally, Helldivers 2 players had numerous theories on what happened to the Service Technician, and some of them are quite wild. So, let’s go through some.
Starting off positively, some players believe the Service Technician is being trained to handle new upgrades. Some players suggested new ship upgrades would drop, or even a vehicle bay. Thus, the Service Technician needs to prepare.
NameNomad noted: “My crackpot theory is she’s gonna be a range master for a shooting range on the ship. It’s weird that they removed her and then drew attention to that with new voice lines. Also, we need a new place to fine-tune our new weapons on the ship so she could help us with that”.
Helldivers 2 Players Have Some Grim Theories, As Well
Although we truly hope that the Service Technician is out there, living her best life, some players have pretty dark theories. Obviously, it’s kind of concerning that she disappeared just as the new Illuminate fleet appeared.
Traveller_CMM stated: “She says some borderline undemocratic stuff once in a while, maybe the democracy officer caught her in the act? Especially the way the shipmaster says ‘standard procedure’, kinda makes me think she’s being educated”.
Another player, Own_Helicopter_517, added: “I think it’s going to play into the dissidents they keep mentioning. They’ve been sent to be adjusted by the Ministry of Truth and replaced by more patriotic crew”.
Now, you may have noticed that your Democracy Officer and the Ship Master also… changed? Either their names or their appearance. So, this could all tie into a new storyline. However, we still hope the Service Technician is just learning how to handle the possible new upgrades.
