“We’re Cooked” The Chaotic New Major Order Raises Concerns for the Singularity Party in the Helldivers 2 Community

Helldivers 2 player looking at an explosion.

This one will be… challenging. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as many Helldivers crave something more difficult, and is there anything more difficult than coordinating the entire community? The latest Major Order gave Helldivers 2 players full freedom on what they do, as long as they liberate some planets. Since the bots and the bugs are running wild, with both the Incineration Corps and the Jet Brigade, as well as the Predator Strain active, the player base is concerned that this is just an ouverture for the Singularity Party.

The Latest Major Order Sends Helldivers All Over the Galaxy

The players spectacularly failed the previous Major Order, as they chose a completely wrong strategy. Unfortunately, the current Major Order also relies on thinking ahead and making a solid strategy. It could be fun, but we have a feeling it will be quite stressful.

Of course, the MO arrived with a briefing. It explained that the enemies were trying to expand their territories and had to be stopped. The briefing noted: “These offensives cast a tyrannical pall over the joy of our citizenry in the wake of our victory over the Illuminate. The citizens of the Federation deserve to celebrate the eradication of our enemies, free from the thought of violence”.

So, the High Command tasked the Helldivers with liberating as many planets as possible. In order to complete the Major Order, the Helldivers 2 players need to liberate more planets than they lose. At the time of writing this article, they have six days and ten hours left.

Obviously, the community needs to come up with a solid strategy to get this done. The community can take some inspiration from the small group of players that liberated Troost recently. Basically, explore the map and try to find a planet with the lowest regen rate.

DepGrez stated: “We need to focus on low resistance planets. Choepessa IV, for example, 0.50%. If thousands of us bunch up on this, we could liberate it quickly. But trying to stem the tide of an enemy invasion force of 40 on Tarsh is not going to be victorious. The MO demands we look for weaknesses in the enemy’s frontline while they overextend”.

We completely support this strategy! It does require some research, but once enough players are on a certain planet, the rest of the community will follow. We suggest either Choepessa IV on the bot front or Achird III on the bug front.

The Current MO Could Be an Omen

Many Helldivers 2 players noted that this type of Major Order often comes at the end of an arc or the end of a storyline. However, something feels off this time. Usually, the players are quite united at that point, as they worked together on something big beforehand. This time, the players are just all over the Galactic map with no rhyme or reason.

One player noted: “This Major Order is NOT Filler! It’s the Epilogue. Just putting this out there for people who don’t know this. This exact type of MO always appears after Major events, signaling the end of an arc. It appeared after the Reclamation ended and the Bots took a foothold after taking Cyberstan. It appeared after we destroyed Meridia, and it appeared after we built the DSS”.

Even though this might be true, some players are convinced this is just a filler as the new update isn’t ready just yet. AlienShades stated: “The length being a week means this is objectively filler lol. They’re essentially saying try to clean up this mess of a Galactic War map while we finish next Tuesday’s update”.

Still, plenty of players are quite concerned about what this MO could mean in the long run. Could it affect the Singularity Party? If the Squids do show up again, will they only attack the liberated planets, or will they attack our enemies as well?

We can’t wait to see what the devs have been working on! Helldivers will get a sneak peek at the next Warbond on May 8, but a lot more is to come. So, join us in trying to liberate as many planets as possible this week. We’ll be diving on Achird III for the time being. For Liberty and Super Earth.
