It’s been awfully quiet during this holiday season. Even though the Illuminate are obviously up to something, Helldivers had no trouble finishing up the Major Order ahead of time. Sure, this might be the calm before the storm, but not being constantly reminded of the Super Earth’s superiority made some players dabble in treason and conspiracy theories. Well, one Helldivers 2 player took it a step further and suggested the entire Galactic War was a simulation. This player even provided some “video evidence”.
Are Helldivers in a Simulation?
One player, GallopingGepard, decided to use their Democracy-given right to drive the FRV in the most undemocratic way we’ve seen so far. Instead of jousting against friends, this player decided to test out the limits of the map.
They even made a video (also below). In it, you can see someone driving full speed right to the edge. Once the FRV reaches the edge, it starts falling, but something unusual happens. The vehicle looks like it was caught in a current, it starts rotating while falling. Once it hits the ground, the Helldiver appears floating in mid-air before dying of an explosion.
The OP noted: “HELLDIVERS! PLEASE LISTEN! I don’t have much time. Super Earth are LYING to you. We are in a simulation. None of this is real! Drive out of the A.O. and you’ll see for yourse-“.
Devoted Players Are Disgusted by Treasonous Claims
Helldivers 2 community didn’t react well to this accusation of being in a simulation for all this time. Let’s be serious for a moment, Super Earth would never treat Helldivers like that. The only thing that comes to our minds is that the Helldiver in question was brainwashed by the Illuminate. Could this be the first recorded case of a Helldiver slowly becoming Voteless? Super Earth Scientists did warn the players that brain damage was a sign of being brainwashed. Well, since the Helldiver died, there’s no need to worry about that, right?
Other players suggested foul play. UnableToFindName suggested: “Like, we fight against the Automaton forces each day. Did they think we wouldn’t be able to tell this was completely fabricated–likely using some undemocratic AI too”
The majority of Helldivers were way more concerned by the treasonous act of even suggesting that the Second Galactic War was a simulation. Burner8724 noted: “My son was shown this by a friend at Super school. Needless to say I alerted my democracy officer, some parents need to do better”.
So, protect your children from these treasonous claims, and let’s go spread some Managed Democracy. We suggest raising some flags to remind those pesky enemies who’s the boss. For Liberty and Super Earth.
