We all know and appreciate that this community can be quite creative. Sometimes you can stumble upon something so incredibly ingenious that you are left in awe. Well, one Helldivers 2 player managed to entertain many others, including the Arrowhead CCO, by making a remake of the famous “Welcome to the Internet” song and sharing it on YouTube. It’s ridiculously good.
Welcome to the Helldivers Rocks
The Helldiver in question, Jac733, borrowed the instrumentals from the famous song by Bo Burnham and wrote the lyrics that any player can relate to. The OP noted: “It’s been a while! Almost a year without an upload – this has been in the works for ages but the uhh.. “The Sony incident” kind of took the wind out of Helldivers’ sails so this was on pause for quite some time. Still, didn’t want the work to go to waste, so better late than never! I don’t know why this song is so fun/easy to parody…”.
Truth be told, we’ve been listening to Welcome to the Helldivers on repeat. It’s incredibly catchy. We truly believe that the majority of Helldivers would adore this song, as it relates to their everyday experiences.
Our favorite verse has to be: “Can I interest you in liberty, all of the time? Spreading some democracy, all of the time? Empathy is treason, hesitation is a crime. When our foes are unintelligent (most of the time)”.
Helldivers 2 Players and the CCO Praise the Creativity
As you may have expected, and for obvious reasons, this song was received very well in the community. Many players admitted to listening to it for hours, and still thoroughly enjoying it.
Welcome to the Helldivers even reached the Helldivers 2 CCO, Johan Pilestedt. He shared the link to this song on his personal X account. Pilestedt noted: “We, as a studio, appreciate this too much”.
Of course, many players chirped in, saying how addictive this song was and praising the OP. Bruv stated: “I listened to this in the morning. Had it on repeat for an hour I think”. Nicothewerewolf said: “Incredible piece of community lore. Thank you Helldiver”.
SlatArchiives raved: “I honestly love this, like an insane amount. I love stuff based on games and this really holds a spot up in some of my favorite creations. You did amazing work, my friend, NOW DO IT AGAIN! Honestly, though, This deserves more love than it has”.
We completely agree! Especially since we’ll be humming Welcome to the Helldivers for a while. So, if you haven’t listened to it yet, we wholeheartedly suggest you do. You can also listen to it while you are fighting on Matar Bay for the current Major Order, it’s quite messy. For Liberty and Super Earth.
