Helldivers 2 Veterans Create a Heartwarming Initiative to Help Out the New Recruits During the Holidays

It’s the holiday season, and you know what that means – presents! Many Helldivers made a highly democratic decision to gift this game to their friends and/or family members. That means there are many new Cadets. Thankfully, the veterans know how overwhelming the Second Galactic War can be to newcomers, so the Helldivers 2 community suggested an initiative to help the new recruits.

Helldivers 2 Veterans Unite to Help the Cadets

During the last couple of days, many new players joined the fight for Liberty. You probably remember how stressful those first missions can be, being swarmed by enemies, and not knowing what to do.

Well, as always, your community is here to help, and true Helldivers love helping out the newbies. In our opinion, there is nothing more wonderful than dropping in a low-level mission, giving all the goodies to Cadets, and watching them enjoy themselves.

So, it was quite heartwarming to see the veterans encourage each other to give a helping hand to new players. SnooRecipes7586 noted: “Veteran Helldivers should play on the lower difficulty the next few days to help Christmas Recruits”.

What Is the Best Way to Help the New Recruits?

However, it’s important to note that if you choose to help out the new Helldivers 2 recruits, you should do so in a constructive manner. Many players noted that dropping in a low-level mission and just clearing out the enemies doesn’t mean a lot to new recruits. Sure, it gives them something to look forward to, but they are losing out on the fun and on those horrific first moments on the field.

The consensus was that if you want to help out, you go in with the best loadout you can create, and leave lots of overpowered goodies for the newbies to try out. You can give them a mech or the new FRV, and watch their minds being blown. Some players love dropping in, leaving the goodies, and leaving. Others prefer staying and being the backup for the Cadets who run the show.

Another useful tip, though non-essential, is if you want to help, look for an SOS. Overcrowding the lower-level lobbies will lead you to playing with higher-level players on a low difficulty. Also, many higher-level players use level 3 difficulty for farming Super Credits. So if you are just looking to help the newbies, we suggest trying on levels 2 and 4 (or even 5).

Since the current Major Order is (hopefully) already done, you can dedicate some of your time to help the new recruits. We promise you’ll enjoy it thoroughly. Happy holidays! For Liberty and Super Earth.
