“Update, When?” Helldivers 2 Players Insist Arrowhead Should Divulge Info on the Next Patch

Another week, another silent Tuesday. It’s been almost a month since Arrowhead issued the last minor patch on November 12. Although the players have been antsy, they were gracious enough to let the devs cook without putting any pressure on them. However, it seems that even the most patient players are slowly, but steadily, reaching their limit. It seems that the biggest problem that Helldivers 2 players have right now is that Arrowhead doesn’t want to communicate anything about a patch or an update.

It’s Been Almost a Month Without an Update or a Patch

If you play Helldivers 2, you know that the game is in pretty good condition. Sure, some things need to be addressed, but you can play the game without any bigger issues. The guns work well, there is only an occasional glitch, and the players are slowly getting used to the DSS. Still, the game can feel quite repetitive, as all of the Major Orders feel like fillers.

The players proved how they could create their own fun with various challenges and community events. But, it seems that isn’t enough for some players, and understandably so. The devs have been teasing something new, for almost a month. Players have seen various leaks and files on Steamdb, but still, nothing has been announced.

So, the players started putting pressure on the devs. Now, there are, and always be entitled and rude players, however, we do not condone that type of behavior in any way. However, there are also just players who want to know what to expect.

Avod101 (PS5) asked for more info on the Helldivers 2 official Discord channel. This player stated: “Don’t get me wrong, the players are no saints. We cannot read minds and can only dictate perception on lack of proactive open communication dialogue if it’s stated as such”.

Baskinator, the Community Manager, gave a lengthy reply. She noted: “When it comes to reveals and teases and dates, we do have expectations that are set elsewhere and sometimes we’re unable to give answers that satisfy everyone’s desires. I will always try to share things with the community if I can, but sometimes I will not be able to do it, or I won’t be able to do it in a way that makes everyone happy”.

Helldivers 2 Players Are Getting Antsy for an Update

Unfortunately, the Helldivers 2 community is getting a bit tired as there hasn’t been an update or a patch in so long. Veterans are reminding the newer players to manage their expectations, as an update could be disappointing. And since the players have been waiting for something new for a while, the expectations are high.

Zyan-M noted: “That’s really the problem. It’s supposed to be a live service game, and it’s deader than credibility in the press. Total silence, 0 content, the last one was a ruin… If it were a single-style game, I don’t know, Uncharted itself, okay”.

East-Passage added: “I’m getting pretty restless too. Yes, it’s my fault for looking at the leaks but there is so much there to be excited about but feels we’re months away from getting any of it (if it hasn’t been scrapped already)”.

In the words of LowBus4853: “We have managed democracy. Now it’s time to have managed expectations”. We know it’s hard, but try to adjust your expectations. Something is coming, and we know that the devs will develop this game even further, but we have to be patient. Hopefully, the devs will reveal some info soon, maybe during The Game Awards on December 12. So, hang in there! For Liberty and Managed Democracy,
