“Um, Are the Bots Headed to the Creek?” Helldivers 2 Players Realize the Consequences of the Failed Major Order

You win some, you lose some, right? Unfortunately, losing can sometimes have bigger consequences than anyone expected. Lately, Helldivers haven’t had a lot of luck with MOs. It seems that any time they have to make a choice, they remain undecided and lose. This time was no different. By losing this Major Order, Helldivers 2 players might have inadvertently given the Automatons a way to Malevelon Creek.

What Can Helldivers Expect From the Failed Major Order?

As you probably know, the players had to choose between stopping the bots or squishing some bugs to help slow down the Meridian Singularity. They chose both, or rather neither. J.O.E.L tried giving some gambits to players, but they all failed.

Truth be told, we suppose J.O.E.L was surprised that the players didn’t choose the bot option of the MO since the latest update brought lots of novelties to the bot front. So, now the players have to deal with the aftermath of this loss.

As always, the High Command issued a briefing about the MO. It explained that the Incineration Corps spread on several planets, burning everything in their way. Since the Helldivers didn’t manage to stop the Incineration Corps, it remains at large.

Unfortunately, some reports are pointing to the worst possible scenario. The bots’ strategic goal seems to be seizing old industrial assets in the Severin Sector. The briefing notes: “… where the Automatons first emerged”.

Since the bug option of the MO was also a failure, the Penrose Energy Siphon wasn’t deployed. That means that the Meridian Singularity is still on its path to the next planet, Ivis. After Angel’s Venture and Moradesh, Helldivers should try their best to stop it.

Helldivers 2 Players Wish to Return to the Creek

If you are fairly new to Helldivers 2, you might be wondering what the failed Major Order has to do with the Creek. Well, veterans will tell you that the Severin Sector is home to Malevelon Creek, and also where the Automatons joined the Second Galactic War. Now, we don’t have what the devs have planned, but the first anniversary of the Creek liberation is fast approaching, it’s on April 3.

When you combine all the little hints, you might come to a conclusion that something will happen on the Creek, and soon. Helldivers truly believe that’s the case, as well. So much so, that they raved about their expectations. One player noted: “Imagine if they reach it and it changes from a jungle to like a post-forest fire jungle. Then maybe we have an MO to restore it to its former glory”.

AquaBits added: “If we do go back to the creek I hope we get some new set pieces to signify the campaign fought there. Used weapon pods that are overgrown, maybe destroyed objectives that are slowly being rebuilt, completed RTF markers on normal POIs, maybe bunkers that are already opened but are filled with rubble and debris”.

So, pack your bags, we’re going to the Creek (hopefully)! We’ve always found the bots more challenging than the bugs, so we’re glad they’re finally in the spotlight. There are even rumors of a future battle on Cyberstan! We can’t wait to see that storyline unfold. In the meantime, the new MO hasn’t dropped yet, so feel free to fight on whichever front you like the best. For Liberty and Super Earth.
