It seems that, unlike the summer of 2024, the devs have prepared quite a lot for the upcoming summer. Well, at least according to one of the most prolific Helldivers 2 data miners, IronS1ghts, who recently shared new leaks of the Illuminate beam and chatted with the players about what’s to come. So, what awaits? Let’s see what IronS1ghts found.
Data Miner Shares a First Glimpse of a New Illuminate Beam
As you probably know by now, data-mined content more often than not goes live in the game at some point. Sometimes, it’s days after the data miners found it. Other times, it can be months. For example, the Jet Pack Hulks were first discovered in the files all the way back in November. However, they weren’t released until June 26.
Of course, just because the devs added something in the files, it doesn’t mean it will actually be released. Sometimes, the content gets deleted or significantly changed. So, keep in mind that none of this data-mined content is set in stone.
IronS1ghts shared their latest discovery on their X profile. They noted: “(Leak) Unknown Illuminate Beam. A suspicious Illuminate beam recently added to the files. The beam fires short bursts”.
The data miner elaborated: “This reminds me a lot of the outcast sniper beam. First, the outcast fires a beam like this, then shoots a projectile through it, which deals a LOT of damage. The beam acts as a visual indicator that the outcast’s weapon is charging”.
Helldivers 2 Players Found the New Leaks Very Exciting
As you may have expected, the Helldivers 2 community was hyped about the leaks of the new beam. However, that hype only grew bigger once the data miner shared their big expectations for this summer. IronS1ghts simply stated: “The next few months will be very interesting. I’m excited”.
Of course, this prompted all kinds of speculations and ideas. But, most of all, the players were happy to learn that Arrowhead came prepared for the summer season. More Squids to fry? Yes, please!
