After lots of sweat and tears, lives lost, and frustration, Helldivers didn’t manage to complete the previous Major Order. Players made significant progress and even liberated Pandion-XXIV, alas, the enemies prevailed. However, this loss showed just how necessary a better understanding of the Galactic Map was. So, the Helldivers 2 developers decided that the objective of the new Major Order should be finding and securing a place for the Democracy Space Station.
A Democracy Space Station Might Be Coming to Helldivers 2
Now, if you are wondering what the Democracy Space Station (DSS) is, the developers took to the official Helldivers 2 account on X to explain. They stated: “The DSS will be a powerful strategic tool for reshaping the Galactic Map — democratically directed by the Helldivers themselves. To achieve this, an orbital construction site must be secured. Two planets have large enough magnetospheres for safe construction: Gaellivare and Clasa. Both are under Automaton control. The final choice of which to liberate is left to the Helldivers”.
The current Major Order had the players deciding on a planet where Super Earth would build the Democracy Space Station. The choice was between Clasa and Gaellivare, but the community quite quickly chose the latter. The developers also pointed out that this site would be very vulnerable to attacks while under construction, so, you should expect some defense missions in the future.
Helldivers Call All Players to Fight for the Major Order
Since Helldivers 2 devs decided to put the Democracy Space Station on a planet on the Automaton front, some players are worried that the so-called bugdivers wouldn’t join the Major Order. Botdivers are now pleading for the bugdivers to join their efforts.
One player noted: “Please, for the love of Liberty. This MO will be a step in the right direction that we all will benefit from. I am once again asking for you to play the Major Order so we can have Space Stations”.
Bugdivers are seemingly as interested as all other players in getting the DSS. The community shared their ideas for what they expected of the DSS. Unsurprisingly, the majority of players wanted something like the Death Star.
Other players had slightly different wishes. Veni Von-i Vici noted: “God, if this becomes like a social space or something that the community works together to build and expand, it will cement HD2 as my all-time favorite game”.
Obviously, we can’t know for sure, but the one thing we do know is that Gaellivare has to be liberated so the DSS can be built. So, grab your favorite weapons and join us there, for Super Earth and Liberty.
