They are finally here! It wasn’t easy, and it was kind of inadvertently, but the important thing is that they are here. After literal months, Helldivers 2 players finally secured a new Stratagem – the Gas Mines. A group of Helldivers who call themselves Gasdivers is elated.
Everything You Need to Know About the Gas Mines
As you know, the previous Major Order presented the players with a new trolley problem. This time, Helldivers had to choose between saving the feeble young adults or getting the Gas Mines. Fortunately, an error with the liberation rates occurred (or, um, it didn’t), so the Helldivers managed to save both the young adults and the Gas Mines.
Following the MO, players received a briefing. It stated: “Against all odds, the Helldivers managed to repel the Automaton assault on both fronts. JULHEIM and DUMA TYR have been saved. Thanks to the Helldivers, the Moderately Feeble Young Adults of Good Citizen Andrews’ have been evacuated, and the imminent fleetwide deployment of the MD-8 Gas Mines has been ensured. The Automatons continue to harry our galactic flank, taking resources from other fronts. Our Federation will never be safe until every Automaton is dismantled”.
As for the MD-8 Gas Mines, well, they are actually quite good! The in-game description states: “MD-8 Gas Mines. Deploys mines that release gas on activation, temporarily blinding and slowing most enemies”. The call-in time is 4.75 seconds, you have unlimited uses and the cooldown is 120 seconds. They cost 12000 Requisition Slips. And, don’t worry, we bought them the moment we took this screenshot.
Helldivers Love Their New Gas Mines
As expected, some Helldivers 2 players were extremely happy to finally get their Gas Mines. Sure, it took the community a while, but the Gasdivers finally got what they had been asking for since the Chemical Agents Warbond.
One player, BICKELSBOSS, noted: “All mines were buffed and had their cooldowns reduced to 120 seconds, on top of getting nearly double the damage, and larger spread to prevent chain explosions. They are f**king amazing right now, assuming you know where to place them and have teammates that do not run into the same minefield repeatedly”.
Several players, including MilesFox1992, raved about how much could be achieved through working together. This player stated: “I’m so glad that Divers united to get something useful. Been wanting to get those mines for a long time now”.
Now, we hear that the Gas Mines are especially useful on the Squid front. Well, let’s test this theory together! We’ll be defending planets for the latest Major Order, will you join us? For Liberty and Super Earth.
