If you are a devoted Helldiver, you are probably aware that the game has had some unfortunate problems recently. Every new patch seems to introduce new bugs, and the performance goes down. Over the last several weeks, Helldivers 2 players have noticed various performance problems, from unexpected FPS drops to rendering issues (torsodivers and the invisible fire, anyone?), so the complaints even reached the CEO of Arrowhead. Shams Jorjani addressed the issues and reassured the players.
The CEO Speaks Out on the Performance Issues
One of the things that we truly appreciate about Arrowhead is the fact that the developers have a tendency to interact with the players directly. So, unlike with the other studios, you’ll often stumble upon various devs answering players’ questions on social media.
On April 13, Shams Jorjani took to Discord and answered some burning questions. As we’ve mentioned, the performance has been an issue recently, so Jorjani gave the players some insight into the devs’ process.
He noted: “While I’m here: regarding performance. We are 100% aware performance ain’t great now. We’re tracking closely and have numerous things in motion. We’ll be sharing details on what we’ll do in the not-too-distant future. We appreciate the patience until we get back to our usual performance”.
Jorjani added: “The more we add in terms of content, the tougher performance becomes, we then have to do a bit of housekeeping. Hopefully, in the future we’ll be able to add content that has less impact”.
Helldivers 2 Players Appreciate Being Kept in the Loop
The very fact that the CEO addressed performance issues was received very well in the Helldivers 2 community. As with anything else, this kind of transparency is highly valued and appreciated.
One player, CarnivorousGiraffe, stated: “… You guys do fantastic work and we respect the hell out of what you guys do. Thank you for communicating with the fan base and being transparent when so many companies aren’t. It’s why Helldiver has been so impactful on the gaming community. Keep up the good work”.
This goes to show how a relatively small gesture can mean quite a lot in establishing trust. This kind of mutual respect is extremely important for any kind of success. Now, while we are all waiting for those performance fixes, let’s focus on stopping the Meridian Singularity. The Major Order is in progress, and we need your help on Nivel 43. For Liberty and Super Earth.
