It’s back! The Democracy Space Station has returned after being offline for over a month. The Super Earth engineers managed to make the lives of Helldivers 2 players a little easier by fixing the DSS just in time for a truly challenging Major Order. Players will have to put in a lot of effort to pull this one off.
Helldivers Get the DSS Back for the New Major Order
The MO arrived on January 16, following the success of the previous one. As always, a briefing came along with the Major Order. This week, the briefing focused on the return of the DSS and everything that was fixed after the Illuminate tempered with this technological masterpiece.
First of all, staff surveillance systems have been updated, so there shouldn’t be any more interference from the Illuminate. This goes hand in hand with Super Earth’s initiative to protect all citizens by spying on them. For their safety, of course.
As for the DSS, some Tactical Actions received a makeover. The Planetary Bombardment is still offline and engineers are working on it. However, the Heavy Ordnance Distribution Tactical Action was added to help out. Also, the players can move the DSS six times more frequently now. This will come in quite handy with the frequent Illuminate attacks.
This week’s Major Order is a little more demanding than usual. The players have to fend off 14 attacks from the Illuminate. Now, as you know, the defenses against the Squids are usually shorter, so the players stand a chance. Still, this is quite a feat. As of the time of writing this article, players managed to fend off one attack, and another defense is in progress.
Helldivers 2 Players Aren’t Too Happy With the Recent Major Orders
Although getting the DSS back for this Major Order, many Helldivers 2 players are still dissatisfied with the recent MOs. Many Helldivers pointed out that for a while now, all the MOs have been defense missions spanning over several days.
Although Helldivers love spreading Managed Democracy, constant defenses became tiring at some point. Sure, things have been a bit slow around the holidays, but players are ready for more. They mostly hope for some sort of a Special Event, maybe even after the current MO.
So, dear Helldiver, if you have trouble finding the motivation to face all of these defense missions, try finding support in your community. After all, other Helldivers know what you are going through. Let’s push through this MO together, we’ll meet you on Haldus. For Liberty and Super Earth.
