The game celebrates its first birthday on February 8. It’s been a glorious year of spreading Managed Democracy in the name of Super Earth. Helldivers already know that the developers like to celebrate big dates (Liberty Day, for example) with presents and maybe a special event. The Helldivers 2 players have been trying to guess what they’d get for the anniversary for a while, so they were quite pleased when they saw the leaked armor that they’d supposedly get.
The Leaked Armor Looks Amazing
One of the most prolific leakers, IronS1ghts, is back at it again. According to this leaker, the anniversary armor will be the B-22 Model Citizen. The OP shared an image of the armor and its stats.
The description of the armor states: “Given to Helldivers whose civilian lives were distinguished by exemplary citizenship, patriotism, and service to Federation”. As for the stats, the Armor Rating is 100, the Speed is 500, and the Stamina Regen is 100. The Armor Passive is Democracy Protects.
Now, this image doesn’t truly capture the beauty of this armor. You can take a closer look at it in John Helldiver’s YouTube video below. This video also showcases the matching helmet and the Eye of Freedom (another Orwell reference?) cape. You’ll also get to see how aesthetically pleasing it looks in-game, as the leaker took it out for a spin in the last part of the video.
Helldivers Love the Anniversary Armor
It’s easy to see why the Helldivers 2 community adores the leaked anniversary armor. Players raved about how excited they were to get the armor on February 8. Of course, as these are leaks, there is a possibility that this gets scrapped and Helldivers get something else, but that hasn’t happened often.
One player, nanachimakenshi2512, noted: “Shiny, but I love the details of the tiny scratches on the armor. Looks pretty but well-worn. Very nice”. Another player, Marky_08, added: “It’s been a long year of fighting but we are still here fighting for what is right, Dive Harder Brothers”.
So, dear Helldiver, get ready for the first anniversary. We hope it will be a shiny one! There are some indications that Helldivers will finally venture into the Gloom and see the horrors within. Better fully enjoy those last moments against the Jet Brigade in the current Major Order, then! For Liberty and Super Earth.
