They are here! Sure, the invasion of Super Earth is a sorrowful event, but Helldivers are squealing with happiness every time they deploy. Helldivers 2 players finally have a chance to work together with the SEAF troops. And, it’s such a wholesome experience.
SEAF Troops Are Helping Helldivers on Super Earth
As you know, the invasion started on May 20, when the Heart of Democracy update dropped. This update brought the previously leaked mega cities. Naturally, it also brought back tens of thousands of players, as player numbers skyrocketed.
Players agreed that this had to be one of the best updates yet, and the clear winner of the update were SEAF troops. These soldiers are running around the map, fending off the Illuminate, and they are always ready to help, just give them a voice command.
Not only are they always ready to help, but they are also helpful. Sure, they will throw a grenade that will bounce off the wall and kill half their squad, but they’ll also do their best to protect Helldivers.
Some players reported seeing the SEAF troops destroying the Cognitive Disruptor. Other players were close to dying, but were ultimately saved by the SEAF soldiers. They can even take down the Fleshmob and the Overseers on their own. One player, spogetus, even shared a video of these soldiers helping with destroying the Warp ship.
Players Vow to Do Anything to Save SEAF Soldiers
Obviously, even though they try their very best, these soldiers aren’t nearly as powerful as Helldivers. However, the Helldivers 2 players were quickly charmed by the SEAF troops. Now, there are hundreds of posts and memes about SEAF troops and Helldivers doing anything and everything in their power to protect them.
Myself_78 noted: “A squad of riflemen randomly came up to me, we saluted each other and when I left I heard them talking about how awesome that was. These guys really make me feel like the coolest diver in the whole galaxy. I wouldn’t usually use the words “precious” and “adorable” for adults, but these guys are an easy exception”.
Another player added: “I want to keep them all. Some months ago, we were discussing and proposing to AH the emotional factor… And now we have these heartbreaking NPCs that will not even have a choice to pull back and leave-you-to-it, but follow you around, or be saluted and go happy about meeting a Helldiver. That’s the greatest writing without dialogue. Whoever designed that piece is an evil genius”.
Truth be told, when we fought on Super Earth, we went out of our way to protect these lovely NPCs. So, Arrowhead, well done! Hopefully, the devs will give the unreleased SEAF troop Stratagem a chance now! In the meantime, meet us on Super Earth. We have to protect the SEAF troops, and, um, spread Managed Democracy, yes.
