When it comes to Major Orders in Helldivers 2, the community seems to fail ones focused on the Automatons more than the Terminids. This is due to more players preferring to fight them over the robots. In the past, this has caused the community to fail to unlock new rewards, or affect the Galactic War and turn the tide against us.
Surprisingly, the Helldivers 2 community has managed to complete the latest Major Order, which tasked players with successfully defending six planets from the Automatons. Previously, the player base was unsuccessful in a recent Automaton Major Order that would have unlocked the Orbital Napalm Barrage Stratagem.
Following the completion of the Major Order, Super Earth announced that the titanium deposits were retained, which could lead to players being rewarded with the Orbital Napalm Barrage in the near future.
“The Automatons have been rebuffed once more, their territorial ambitions stymied by the ever-watchful Helldivers. The titanium deposits on Imber were retained, and the Helldivers successfully defended most of the incursions into Super Earth territory.
Decrypted intel indicates that the Automatons continue to pursue the construction of some kind of limited-use strike force, the nature of which continues to be investigated. However, denied critical resources, the Automatons’ efforts to expand their warfighting capability will be delayed.
The retention of Imber’s titanium is a relief for the hardworking citizens who rely on the corrosion-resistant metal to coat the chemical processing equipment they use every day, for many hours. Their continued job security and workplace safety is thanks to the sacrifices made by the Helldivers.”
This latest victory comes just before the next update is set to go live on September 17th. Over the past few days, Arrowhead Game Studios has been releasing teasers to showcase what to expect from the 01.001.007 update, and so far we know that the Flamethrower, Railgun, and Breaker Shotgun are set to receive major buffs. Following this, the Chemical Agents Warbond will be arriving on September 19th, giving us new weapons to use to fight the Terminids, including a new Stratagem that will be included for the first time.
