Players managed to defend Crimsica just in time to complete the previous Major Order. However, devoted Helldivers didn’t get much time to relax. The new Major Order just arrived and Helldivers 2 players received instructions to face the Jet Brigade on Matar Bay.
Major Order Offers All the Information
The developers took to X and explained the recent developments in more detail. They noted: “Breaking: The Helldivers have established and held a protective border around Acamar IV, allowing the successful construction of the first-ever Terminid Research Preserve. Our intrepid Xenoentomologists have conducted an inaugural specimen collection foray, and are already reporting great strides towards our understanding of E-710 extraction and exploitation”.
They went on to explain why this week’s Major Order had to switch to the bot front. And, yes, it has something to the with the Jet Brigade. They stated: “But while the eastern front now has calmed, the socialist toasters on the western front have unleashed a new fighting force. Automaton warships have appeared in massive numbers in the atmosphere of Matar Bay. Multiple SEAF bases have already fallen”.
The devs added: “Reports indicate the presence of an augmented Automaton detachment leading the invasion. This group will be referred to as the Jet Brigade in all communications. All Helldivers are ordered to immediately deploy to the defense of Matar Bay”.
Helldivers 2 Players Are Ready to Fight the Jet Brigade
As you may have guessed, Helldivers 2 players had strong reactions upon seeing the Jet Brigade in the latest Major Order. West-Smell-8725 noted: “Jetpack got buffed. Bots get jetpack”.
In addition to shock, many Helldivers reported suddenly being sick. CarterNova joked: “Woke up and emailed my boss letting him know I’m out sick. Sick of these socialist toasters in my democratic galaxy”.
As for strategy, well, as of the time of writing this article, there isn’t one. Some players suggested liberating Choohe to cut the Supply Lines to Matar Bay. However, given that the Major Order would last only five days, many Helldivers were against this idea. According to some third-party apps, around 30k Helldivers are already on Matar Bay.
In a true Helldiver fashion, players continued joking around, even though they were put in a tough situation. Bitbatgaming stated: “We were doing a defend assets mission and one of them sneaked up on my battle brother and killed him. I’m never gonna wear a jet pack again to prevent them from stealing it off my dead corpse”.
