“Our Prayers Have Been Answered” Helldivers 2 Players Plot Sending the DSS Into the Gloom

When the Democracy Space Station finally became operational, players had quite a strong reaction to it. They were quite dissatisfied, so they joked about throwing it into the Meridia black hole, slamming it into Hellmire, or simply moving it into the Gloom and letting the bugs do their thing. Well, as it turns out, Helldivers 2 players now have an opportunity to send the DSS into the Gloom. Even though Helldivers have realized that the DSS isn’t all that bad, they are still considering sacrificing it to the bugs.

Helldivers Can Vote for the DSS to go Into the Gloom

Truth be told, we didn’t see this coming. As you know, the way the Helldivers choose the next location of the Democracy Space Station is by voting. Once you enter the DSS menu, you select Location and there you see a list of planets.

Up until now, the players couldn’t vote for a planet in the Gloom. So, once the Helldivers had seen Fori Prime, a planet located at the edge of the Gloom, on the list, they launched a campaign to send the DSS there. At the time of writing this article, Fori Prime is at 3% and there is around 12 hours left to vote.

The voting for the next location of the DSS, a planet inside of the Gloom is on the list in Helldivers 2.

Players Would Love to See What Happens to the DSS in the Gloom

As we’ve mentioned, Helldivers 2 players found sending the DSS into the Gloom hilarious. Just think about it, we’ve all worked for months to get it operational. It would be a true display of Managed Democracy.

JHawkInc noted: “I’d love to see a message from Super Earth about this. With a “last transmission” before it disappears being a request to use Democracy to ensure the safe return of the valuable equipment (and any remaining personnel aboard)”.

While the majority just raved about getting rid of the DSS, other players had more devious ideas. One player suggested: “Imagine if the bugs start firing orbital bile barrages at us”. Elloliott added: “Give the bugs and bots orbital bombardment, it would be so cool and also painful”.

What would happen to the poor crew of the DSS, the people who were once evacuated from the edges of the Gloom? IronVines declared: “Ehhh, it’s fine. They’ll be fine. Worst case they die for liberty and freedom all because of democratic voting. Couldn’t imagine a more glorious death”.

What do you think, should we vote for the DSS to move into the Gloom? Honestly, we are kind of curious, and this would give us an opportunity to take a peek at what’s inside. For Liberty and Super Earth, of course.
