Following their magnificent loss on Calypso, the Squids are back at it. Even though some players thought they had eradicated these foul enemies, new attacks started occurring. The latest Major Order sends brave Helldivers 2 players to face a true Illuminate invasion.
Players Have to Face the Illuminate for the New Major Order
Well, we can now safely say – the Illuminate are back. High Command issued a new Major Order and with it a briefing on what was going on. According to the briefing, the Illuminate attacked a colony on Genesis Prime. The Ministry of Truth assessed that this was a group of the Illuminate that somehow survived the First Galactic War. According to them, the number of the Illuminate is limited, and the Squids would be eradicated after this defense.
However, in a surprising twist, the Illuminate attacked another planet, Mog. According to an in-game message: “It is now clear that these attacks represent an ongoing wave of unprovoked aggression from the no-longer-eradicated species”. Since there is no way to tell what’s going on and what are the Illuminate up to, expect the Major Order Objectives to change while the situation unfolds.
As for the current objectives, well, they are quite concerning. The players have to defend Genesis Prime against one attack and they have to defend against 7 attacks in total. However, as of the time of writing this article, an hour is left for the Genesis Prime defense, and the Helldivers are losing. The Mog Defense is also destined to fail, at the current rate.
Helldivers 2 Players Were Waiting for This Invasion
Believe it or not, Helldivers 2 players are ecstatic that they get to face the Illuminate invasion in the current Major Order. So, they gladly picked up their weapons, and the drip from the new Warbond, and headed to Rictus Sector. The bottom part of the Galactic Map is sure looking, erm, purple. We aren’t worried, Helldivers will clean it up.
One player, chcx91, noted: “This is where we hold them! This is where we FIGHT! This is where THEY DIE! Let them witness the insurmountable might of the HELLDIVERS”. KingCarbon1807 added: “Against all the evil the squids can conjure. Against all the wickedness autocracy can produce. Super Earth will send unto them, only us. Rip, and tear, until it is done”.
So, you know what needs to be done, to Hellpod, Helldiver! Meet us on Mog, even though Genesis Prime is doomed, we can still get Mog. Let’s liberate some Voteless and show those Squids some Managed Democracy. For Liberty and Super Earth.
