As you know, Liberty Day is fast approaching, and aside from an occasional tease, the devs have been tight-lipped about their plans. Players have lots of requests. The completion of the Democracy Space Station is right on top of every list, and according to some leaks, Helldivers 2 players will get some items alongside the DSS.
Leaks Claim Helldivers Will Get More Rewards at the Opening of the Democracy Space Station
First of all, we’d like to remind you that this isn’t official information, and even if true, it’s susceptible to change. However, we truly hope these rumors are true. One player, Tier5NPC, shared: “Here’s a small content drop you might get along your DSS upon completion”.
This leaker shared several items that the players would supposedly get once the DSS was done. The first item the OP presented was DP-00 (Medium Armor). They stated: “The infamous armor worn by the first heroes who fought in the first Great Galactic war, this armor sports the Democracy Protects perk“.
As for the Democracy Protects perk, it would grant players a 50% chance to not die when taking lethal damage. Also, it prevents all damage from bleeding, if the chest hemorrhages. The OP added: “Better than nothing I suppose. However, by personal preference, I would have liked it to be a higher armor pad perk instead. Or, a reload speed perk like a sleight of hand”.
Of course, you can’t get new armor without getting a new weapon as well. And this one is a classic – the R-2124 Constitution, with a bayonet. The leaker noted: “A big bolt action Medium-Pen Marksman Rifle with a bayonet on it. What more do you need to charge at your enemies when you run out of ammo? You get 60 bullets on a full kit“.
Helldivers Can’t Wait For Liberty Day
As expected, the Helldivers 2 players were more than happy to peek at these leaks, especially considering that they’ve been working on the Democracy Space Station for a while. Also, as you know, the devs have decided to take things slow this week. At the time of writing this article, it’s been around 36 hours since the previous Major Order finished, and there isn’t a new one in sight. The community even created their own event, and even the Chaosdivers resurfaced. So, there’s nothing like some rumors to keep the hype up.
Wither452 noted: “God I am BEGGING for these to be Liberty Day drops. Please”. Another player, Rebel_Mello, added: “Gonna be like our own Death Star. It has unique Stratagems and can only be used on the planet it is revolving around. In their 63-day plan video, a dev said we can vote on what Stratagem or upgrade we can get on the DSS with our samples”.
