It’s been a slow period for Helldivers content-wise. Even though the players want to support the devs and give them the time needed for a good update, they are slowly getting impatient. Helldivers have already revisited the past and examined many aspects of the game. The only thing left to keep the hype going is the leaks. Thankfully, there have been many, and they truly maintain the players’ hopes for the future. Most recently, some leaks claim that a new lava biome could be added to Helldivers 2.
Leaks Show Off a Lava Biome
As you know, it’s been a while since the devs added a new biome to the game. All the way back in June, Gacrux became the first planet to have a jungle biome. At the time, players were in awe of its beauty. However, over time, this biome became quite hated, as it’s extremely hard to survive in all that foliage.
Well, we have a feeling the same will happen with the leaked new biome. While it sounds extremely cool (or hot?), it seems it will become very challenging very quickly. If you hate Hellmire, could you ever truly love a lava biome?
One data miner and leaker, IronS1ghts, shared their findings on their account on X. The OP noted: “(Leak) Magma Planet. Generation Parameters: lava_offset, lava_temperature, lava_contrast, sandy_magma”.
Truth be told, this looks extremely cool, and as Hellmire lovers, we’d love to see this biome in-game. However, that might not happen soon, or at all. The OP added: “This one may have been scrapped, but I have no idea. The planet currently crashes, as there are no lava assets in the files. The banner is currently a placeholder”. Still, since there were lava planets in the first installment, we hope the biome from these leaks will see the light of day in Helldivers 2 as well.
Helldivers Love the Idea of a Scorching Biome
These leaks managed to get the players excited for a new biome. Many players imagined diving on a fiery planet even more dramatic than Hellmire. Brave Helldivers gladly shared their expectations.
One player, Green, stated: “Can’t wait to dive head first into lava. That, or be ragdolled into it by oncoming projectiles”. Lex added: “Oh hell yeah love me a new biome especially if that biome is f**kin lava”.
Still, the majority of players just hoped that new content, including a biome or two, would be added soon. TheBest1972 noted: “Yeah, if they released it, I wouldn’t be surprised on how many deaths we are going to go through lol. I really hope they put out at least the biomes this December”.
Yes, a lava biome would be a wonderful addition during the winter, something to keep us warm and toasty during the holiday season. Hopefully, the devs will deliver. In the meantime, a very confusing Major Order is in progress, so, get to Matar Bay to help out. For Liberty and Super Earth.
