It’s important to take a break from all the drama surrounding the latest update and Warbond. While waiting for the devs to act on the players’ feedback, why not indulge in some things yet to be added to the game? Well, some Helldivers 2 leaks featuring the Illuminate Sentinels might just do the trick.
The Sentinels Will Be a Part of the Illuminate
One devoted Helldivers 2 leaker, IronS1ghts, shared their potential discoveries on X. They noted: “(Leak) Illuminate Tripod In-Game Screenshots”. They offered more information on Reddit. This player stated: “The illuminate tripod, or “Sentinel”. Super cool to see in-game”.
They continued: “Its eye fires a beam that has 3 separate firing modes: Horizontal, Vertical, and Erratic. You can disable the beam ability by breaking the Sentinel’s eye, to which it will start arcing electricity. Their walking animation is pretty weird in-game, very fluid”. They explained how there were two variations of the Sentinels. Tier 1 – the Sentinel, and Tear 2 – the Baneful Sentinel.
As for when the Illuminate will actually arrive to Helldivers 2, we don’t know for sure. Mesmerized by the previous leaks, devoted players agreed they’d be more than happy if the Illuminate decided to arrive on October 26, also known as Liberty Day. Seeing how there have been more and more leaks recently, and the designs look quite ready, we’d say that Liberty Day drop is a possibility.
Leaks Offer Hope to the Helldivers 2 Community
Helldivers 2 players were stoked to see the latest leaks of the Illuminate Sentinels. They gave them hope that the game would push through and survive this difficult period. Select_Ad3588 noted: “Nahhhhh that looks fire, way bigger than I thought. Really really gives me War of the Worlds vibes”.
Veterans from the first installment of Helldivers were amazed, as well. Zegram_Ghart said: “Back in HD1 they were the standard foot soldier, roughly the size of a person. So yeh, this is vast by comparison”. Obviously, players can’t help but wonder if the devs changed other units as well.
Vardisk stated: “The fact that this one unit has multiple different attacks is pretty notable to me. Between this and another leak saying that a different unit has a weapon that doubles as both a gun and melee weapon seems to indicate that Illuminate units are more individually strong and versatile than the bugs and bots”.
It’s always great to get some exciting news, even if they are unverified. This hype might get the players to remember why they fell in love with the game in the first place, and why they should soldier on through this current rough patch. While waiting for the Illuminate, you might want to consider joining your fellow soldiers and completing the Major Order. Let’s stay united for managed democracy and Super Earth.
