Exciting news for all the Stealthdivers out there! According to some recent leaks, Helldivers 2 players might get a suppressor at some point. Helldivers have been asking for weapon customization practically since the game launched, and even the CCO confirmed it was in the works, a while ago.
Leaks Offer a First Glance at the Suppressor Gameplay
One of the most active leakers, IronS1ghts, shared some good news for all the players waiting for a suppressor. This player shared a video (also on YouTube by John Helldiver) of the gameplay and noted: “(Leak) Suppressed weapon gameplay. The suppressor attachment seems to work for the most part, audio is unfinished”.
IronS1ghts added: “This weapon is a Diligence variant that was created for use in the showcase. While the suppressor does have sounds in the files, it’s not being used yet for some reason. Likely unfinished, but it is something that’s being worked on”.
Helldivers 2 Players Are Excited About the Prospect of a Suppressor
Obviously, Helldivers 2 players were enamored with the suppressor from the moment they had seen the leaks. Many players raved about how they couldn’t wait to spend all of their Super Credits on weapon customization.
Other players went even a step further. One of them, destroniumwastaken, noted: “Hell I’d drop cold hard cash on it. Not that this should be a requirement but Arrowhead is a good development studio. I wouldn’t mind throwing $20 their way just to customize my guns like this”.
Still, no one was as happy as the Stealthdivers. They’ve been asking for a stealth Warbond for a while, and the suppressor would be a wonderful addition to their armory. NivRel stated: “Ok, so….. I need this, I wish they made like a stealth-centered update, generally making Automaton bases more like metal gear solid 5’s Afghanistan prison, there are sewers to access it, strong points you blow up to prevent reinforcements, and so on. It would be amazing”.
That entire idea sounds like something many players would thoroughly enjoy. However, don’t get your hopes too high before we get an official confirmation. In the meantime, your fellow divers need you to help out with the current Major Order. For Liberty and Super Earth.
