It’s been quite a week for Helldivers! They went from begging for more content to being completely overwhelmed by everything going on. The patch, the Illuminate, the Voteless, the Urban Legends Warbond, and more have turned the community upside down. Well, according to some leaked content, a lot more is yet to come, so, you might even get a chance to see a giant Illuminate ship in Helldivers 2. Rumor has it, it might be connected to a Special Event.
A Gigantic Illuminate Ship Awaits in the Helldivers 2 Files
One established leaker, IronS1ghts, took to X to share amazing images of what can best be described as a huge Illuminate ship. Judged by the sheer size of this ship, it will most likely be a part of a Special Event, rather than an everyday occurrence.
The leaker noted: “This may be the Planet Core Energy Harvester we previously saw in the files. The model matches perfectly. (Given that the filename is “Encounter_Ship”, this may also be the void ship). If this is the core harvester, our goal will be to destroy it, preventing it from taking the planet’s energy. It would have an extremely strong shield, with the center being a weak point. This is likely a main objective, or part of a large event. Currently about 2x larger than a super destroyer (This may be unfinished, so expect changes in the future)”.
Helldivers Can’t Wait for the Leaked Content to Drop
As you may have expected, many Helldivers 2 players were quite intrigued by this leaked Illuminate ship. The majority of Helldivers can’t wait for a new Special Event, like the one on Meridia. Previous leaks indicated that something big would happen on Klen Dahth II, maybe this leaked ship has something to do with that? We’ll have to wait and find out.
In the meantime, players were more than happy to guess how in the name of Managed Democracy were they going to take the ship down and destroy it. Xivu Arath’s Brood noted: “Wonder what we will use to destroy them. I hope it’s like a manual thing we get to do”. Killian Lucis suggested: “We’re probably gonna have to load some sort of orbital defense guns and get them online to shoot it down”.
We’d love to offer our two cents, but, honestly, we have no idea. We do know one important thing, though. The Major Order is in progress, Squids are back on the menu, and your fellow Helldivers need your help. For Liberty and Super Earth.
