Something is brewing in Helldivers 2! With the first anniversary right around the corner, several storylines are unfolding. As you know, the Illuminate are up to something, the wormhole is acting up, there are rumors of a Special Event, and the players might even get to fight on Hellmire again. However, all of these are connected only to Squids and bugs. What about the bots? Well, some Helldivers 2 players closely inspected the stats, and according to them, the Jet Brigade might be coming back.
Helldivers Suggest the Jet Brigade Is Hiding Out on Menkent
You may have seen rumors of the Jet Brigade returning circling social media. Helldivers are justifiably concerned, as these Automatons were quite fierce and unpredictable enemies. So, what makes the players think the Jet Brigade will return soon?
Well, some very devoted players have been checking out the data on planets. They noticed a huge change in the regen rate on Menkent. Now, this data comes from a third-party site (helldivers.io), as even though there is more info on the Galactic Map in-game, players can’t get info on enemy planets.
If you look at the graph below, you’ll see that the regen rate was at 1,5% up until January 27, when it was raised to 2,5%. A day later, on January 28, the regen rate was raised once again, this time to 3%. So, in just two days, the regen rate on this planet doubled. Quite ominous, right?
Well, as it turns out, several players confirmed that changes like this one historically happened right before the Jet Brigade struck. One player, scardwolf, noted: “Before the Jet Brigade launches an attack they group up. It’s not a confirmation but it’s happened on Choohe with the 1st wave and Vernen Wells with the 2nd wave. So, the similarity is there”.
Could This Theory Be Correct?
Is it really possible that the Jet Brigade is coming back to Helldivers 2? Well, sure. Especially since there haven’t been many bot Major Orders in the previous period, so the devs might want to give this enemy faction some flare.
Dry_Ad_9085 suggested: “Someone was saying last night that the MOs rotate, and since we have been on a bug one that a Bot one was next. Would make sense so they have a bit of build-up time for the gravitational fluctuation story to develop and rotate into the Illuminate MO after the Bots. I bet this will be a big one with the entire Illuminate force showing up just in time for the 1 year anniversary”.
Well, we’ll find out soon enough. The current Major Order has almost reached its end, and the next one should start shortly. On top of that, we’re sure Pilestedt wouldn’t leave without one final big boom. For Liberty and Super Earth.
