“How Dare They Leave?” The Latest Major Order Sends Helldivers 2 Players to Push the Bugs Back Into the Gloom

The Borderline Justice Warbond in Helldivers 2.

Ugh, those bugs are relentless! For the previous MO, the Helldivers ventured into the Gloom for the second time. Thanks to their efforts, the scientific expedition was a success! However, while clearing up the space for the scientists, the players obviously made some Terminids very angry. Some of the bugs from the Gloom left their territory and attacked the bordering planets, thus the High Command had to issue a new Major Order for Helldivers 2 players.

New Major Order, Same Bugs From the Gloom

On April 16, the High Command issued a new Major Order. As always, a briefing arrived with the Major Order, explaining what led to it. This time, it was the Predator strain, and it triggered a high-priority alert.

The briefing noted: “Multiple Gloom-adjacent planets have come under sudden onslaught by mutated Terminids. The Helldivers are called to their immediate defense. The enemy combatants match descriptions and attack patterns of the Predator Strain that previously attacked the Center of Science. The size of the assault indicates this particularly deadly strain has been propagating exponentially inside the Gloom since that initial assault”.

The good news is that these terrifying attacks aren’t related to the recently finished science expedition. In other words, this isn’t a retaliation for Nivel 43. However, millions of citizens are in danger, as the bugs have launched numerous attacks.

Well, it’s time for Helldivers to step in. The High Command gave the players a little less than five full days to deal with these bugs. The Helldivers have to fend off nine bug attacks in that time frame. At the time of writing this article, Fenrir III, Crimsica, and Esker are under attack.

Helldivers Aren’t Tired of Fighting Bugs

Now, sure, fighting the bugs in the Gloom might be more exhilarating, but, according to Helldivers 2 players, this Major Order could also be fun. However, they will need a good strategy!

One player, Dakota, noted: “Defend Fenrir 3 at ALL costs. If we lose that planet we’re gonna get another stupid filler order of ‘Oh, before we can advance work on the reverse-gravity generator, we must take back the center of science or else we can’t start it’. Or something stupid like that”.

Although, if we might add, the choice of a planet isn’t the only thing that could ruin this MO. Currently, there are dozens of players warning the community to be on the lookout for gambits.

So, as a reminder, a gambit planet is the planet from which the attack originates, but it also has to be the only planet under the enemy that is connected to the attacked planet. If a planet is attacked from more than one planet, there is no gambit. However, if there is a gambit planet, you should prioritize liberating it, as the liberation would also stop further attacks.

For the time being, we’ll be fighting on Fenrir III. Will you meet us there? Maybe we can befriend a Scavenger together? At the very least, we can try. For Liberty and Super Earth.
