The most democratic of all holidays is here! After a long wait, and a lot of speculations, players will finally get to experience everything Super Earth has to offer. As you know, all Helldivers 2 players get one hour off work on Liberty Day, so it only makes sense that the High Command issued a Major Order on this holly day. Also, the devs shared the full itinerary for Liberty Day festivities, and it’s packed.
All the Liberty Day Gifts and the Festivities Helldivers Can Join
As many players suspected, and some leakers (including SONY) confirmed, all players will get the R-2124 Constitution and the DP-00 Tactical armor set the day after Liberty Day. It’s important to note that all Helldivers will receive these gifts, not only the ones who log in. So, if you have better things to do than celebrate Managed Democracy, you’ll still get the presents.
Baskinator, the Helldivers 2 Community Manager, shared the itinerary for Liberty Day on Discord. She noted: “Helldivers, please study the Liberty Day schedule carefully and remember: Class B citizens and above are granted only 1 hour off work, so choose wisely”.
Among the festivities are Stronhmann News 24-hour Livestream, several Dissident Executons (Chaosdivers, beware!), Liberty Day Parade, and an obligatory Synchronized Salute. Helldivers have a day full of activities ahead of them, and only an hour off duty to enjoy them. Also, some players wished for Whack-a-Terminid (see below) to be available on the DSS once it started working.
The Latest Major Order Raises Suspicion Among Helldivers
Liberty Day activities are fun, but the majority of Helldivers 2 players will spend their day completing the Major Order. Joel issued a 24-hour Liberty Day Major Order that seems perfectly innocent… at first glance. However, many players are approaching it with great caution.
The briefing on the official Discord reads: “In accordance with the signing of the Liberty Day Pact, all Helldivers will spend 24 hours in contemplation of freedom and Managed Democracy. Today, spread these principles throughout the galaxy as you see fit, Helldivers”.
Yet, the Major Order in-game shows the unmentioned objective of this MO. Many players were surprised to see the objective was: “Hold Super Earth when the order expires”. We’d never suggest something as undemocratic as the idea of some third faction invading Super Earth, but… some Helldivers expressed concerns.
Superhen281 noted: “Based on the dispatch it seems nothing/ a free win. However, I’ll still remain skeptical until tomorrow”. Another player, northraider123alt, added: “I FULLY expect this to turn into an “enemy attacks during the fleet week” situation as you’d see in the movies I’d genuinely be surprised if something didn’t happen”.
So, dear Helldiver, we suggest you exercise some caution in your adventures on this special day. Other than that, enjoy yourself, maybe even dabble in some light roleplay. See you out there, we’ll be carrying our trusty Purifier. Now, more than ever, for Liberty and Super Earth.
