Ah, it’s finally time! Many new Helldivers 2 Cadets will fight with the bots for the very first time in the current Major Order, and one thing is for sure, they’ll emerge from the battle with some PTSD. At this point, we can safely say that having PTSD from the bots is sort of an initiation, so don’t worry. Also, your fellow players will be by your side for the entire time.
The Major Order Puts New Helldivers 2 Recruits Against Bots for the First Time
As you probably know, there’s been a surge of new players around the holidays. Let’s face it, getting to spread Managed Democracy is one of the best gifts ever. However, it can be traumatic as well. Especially when you’re fighting those incessant bots. Sure, Calypso was the bloodiest battle as of yet, but it can’t compare to Creek. Malevelon Creek basically shaped the entire Helldivers 2 community.
Well, since the Illuminate have been all the rage since they appeared, and we all know that when you are a new player you mainly follow the Major Orders, some players haven’t had the chance to fight against the bots yet. Naturally, the new players went into battle ready to fight, but initial reports show that they came out of it… changed.
One player, smiling_kira, shared their experience. This player is a part of the new forces and had no trouble spreading Managed Democracy up until, well, facing the Automatons for the first time. The OP noted: “First day fighting the Automaton and I think I have PTSD now. During the mission, I spent most of the time running away while screaming and stimming myself”.
They added: “My body and mind is not willing to dive back to those bots planets… But dammit the soul keeps telling me the Citizens need that Surveillance and Security Center maintain their Freedom and Democracy. See you all on the battlefield. FOR SUPER EARTH AND MANAGED DEMOCRACY”.
Veteran Helldivers Support the New Players Through PTSD
Well, Helldivers 2 veterans know everything there is to know about PTSD from fighting the bots. As we mentioned, the Creek was a turning point for many players. So, they were quite keen on helping out the new recruits through the stress of fighting Automatons.
Historical_Yak7706 noted: “Welcome to the war effort soldier. The Illuminate are only using their low-level adds so far… The Tripod walkers are the equivalent of a Charger or a Hulk. I am a bot diver. I go where the Major Orders lead normally, but love fighting the bots. Wait till you can get to lvl 9-10… super fun”
As a true veteran, ZacatariThanos stated: “Creek vet here that keeps the planet fight for going to the damn bots. You sweet soul….keep training and do not let those oiled-up f**kers win. I’m working so I can’t, but bet your a** that if I could I would be in dif 10 busting my liberty a** on those f**kers”.
So, dear Helldiver, hang in there. We know that bots are horrifying, but, you’ll learn to enjoy destroying them. And, don’t worry, help is on the way. We’ll meet you on Tarsh. For Liberty and Super Earth.
