All the players agree that it’s been a rough month for Helldivers 2, but that doesn’t mean they don’t believe the game will see better days. As you probably know, the Game Director of Arrowhead announced they had a 60-day plan that included several patches that would fix the biggest issues. Thankfully, the Helldivers 2 community is a tight-knit one, so they stand united in support of devs and even share some great expectations for the upcoming updates.

Helldivers 2 Players Share Ideas for Upcoming Updates

Most of the players hope for some “good faith” changes, the ones that would just improve the players’ experiences. That could be anything from buffing the weapons to nerfing the enemies, basically, the changes that would make the game playable after a hard day.

Fraust-Tarken made an interesting suggestion. This player proposed that allowing players to upgrade their weapons would have a significant impact on the game. The number of players would also grow, as they’d have to grind for new upgrades.

This player stated: “Being able to really throw resources at your favorite weapons to help you craft your own meta would help immensely. There will always be the best weapon, but as long as you can upgrade any weapon to be at least viable, I’d see a lot more people being happy, even with the damage issues”.

Another player, cammyjit, offered small, but important, improvements that would greatly contribute. They suggested an increase in weapon damage, a reduction of Bile Titan’s head health, and moving Hellpod Space Optimisation into a ship upgrade. This player also offered a “wild card”. They noted: “Move Arc Thrower and Stalwart into the primary slot and just see what happens”.

There Are Still Some Helldivers That Appreciate the Devs and Super Earth

After all the backlash, players have finally started accepting the unwanted changes. Aside from the advice for upcoming updates, the Helldivers 2 community is offering its support to all the hard-working devs and praising the game itself.

SkipperTex noted: “Despite the tough times, I believe in Helldivers. We will protect Super Earth. Democracy will prevail. Despite all the backlash (warranted or not), I truly believe this game will rebound. This is one of those games that when it hits, it just scratches that itch that other games can’t quite hit”.

Most of the players agreed that they still enjoyed the game immensely even though it was easy to get sucked into all the negativity online. Honestly, aside from some bad balancing, it’s obvious that the devs really care for this game. So, don’t give up just yet. If you are overwhelmed, try taking a break and come back when you feel ready to continue, as we heard some big changes might be coming soon.
