If you’ve been a part of the Helldivers 2 community for a while, you are aware of this problem. If you haven’t, or just aren’t aware of the whole Review-Bomb Cape saga, well, get ready. After the whole PSN Controversy, the players were promised a cape, although it never arrived. Nor did the players from banned countries get access. One thing is for sure, devoted divers didn’t forget about their locked-out fellow Helldivers, and occasionally they still raise the topic of them coming back. On August 22, Helldivers 2 players took the opportunity to ask the CCO about the Review-Bomb Cape in an impromptu Q&A on Discord.
The CCO Addresses the Review-Bomb Cape
Pilestedt took to Discord as he was waiting to board a plane and he managed to give players some reassurance and hope for the future. Among other questions, Helldivers also asked him when they could expect the Review-Bomb Cape. Pilestedt noted: “I wrote about it earlier. Basically review cape is waiting for region conclusion”.
One player, alexsir, asked: “Wait, so it’s not concluded yet? Could Sony really return on their decision”? To which Pilestedt gave a simple, yet slightly confusing answer: “The other way around. The final decision if it will be sold in more countries”.
Devoted Helldivers 2 Players Would Pick Community Over the Cape
At the very least, the players now know that something is happening behind the scenes. Basically, once the decision is reached whether our fellow Helldivers 2 players who are locked out get to join us again, we’ll get the Review-Bomb Cape. And, we are looking forward to that day.
Some players showed a real love for their community. Nibblewerfer said: “I’m fine with never, for me its a cape, for the community it’s a victory won. Can’t have the cape until Super Earth is Super Earth, not just half of it”. Fast_Freddy07 added: “So happy that our brothers in arms could be returning soon”.
Honestly, for us, the best part of this game is its community. The players support each other and the game through all kinds of issues. This, unfortunately, isn’t that common in gaming communities, so it’s very heart-warming to see. So, take care of your fellow divers and enjoy the game.
